My husband and I recently hired Powell Electric to do some work for a family member and were so pleased with them we hired them for our major project. We upgraded our service to a 200 amp box and added many new circuits and outlets throughout the house.
Ed the owner did a detailed walkthrough with us prior to the estimate to help us determine the best way to do it in terms of both costs and interior damage to the house (such as holes cut in the wall, etc.)
The crew that came did an amazing job, led by Wyatt, the owner’s son. Wyatt was very patient and extremely good at detailed problem solving as issues arose. He is very knowledgeable.
We really appreciated the effort Wyatt, Zach, and Dylan went to in order to get the job done. We were shocked at how little they had to cut holes in interior walls, given the layout of our house. One of them even crawled into a space in the attic we thought impossible to access in order to get the circuit where it needed to be without cutting any drywall! We put off this project for many years, expecting to have major drywall repairs to do after the project was completed. However, the only thing inside the house we need to patch is a small hole (1-inch x 4-inch) in the kitchen, and that was only because there was unexpectedly no drywall in that spot, only drywall paper on top.
There were other issues that made this job tricky. Throughout the entire process Wyatt communicated with us, seeking our input when there were options or decisions needed.
Wyatt, Zach, and Dylan were all pleasant and respectful and made the process go smoothly.
We are so pleased with the results of the project. We have no hesitation at all in recommending Powell Electric for both small jobs like our family member’s, and large jobs like ours.
