    Install and new roof on house and 6 inch gutters in back only

    I hired contractor Edvin Escaleras (Edy Home Improvement ) over 2 years ago to install my new roof, and also to add gutters to the backside of my house in Westchester Ct. We agreed that I needed a 6 inch gutter and not the small 5 inch due to the size and overhang of my roof. I paid him for the 6 inch, but he installed the 5 inch gutter- and improperly also, installed it leaving a tiny 1 inch space between the roof and the gutter! There is room for 1 finger between the roof edge and the gutter so of course the water runs right off the roof and bypasses the gutters! Not at all installed properly and furthermore, I paid him for the larger 6 inch gutters which is clearly spelled out in the invoice.
    Ed sub-contracted the roofing work out ( not what he told me initially) and would show up only in the early mornings to meet his crew ( no one spoke English which made it very hard for me to ask questions once he left for the day ).
    A different contractor after the job was done went there to clean out the leaves and that's when I learned what was installed up there and he took photos of how bad and unprofessional it was.
    I immediately called Ed who said he would go and fix the problem and replace gutters with the proper size. The promise to fix this has gone on for 2 years now! I have sent him numerous emails and numerous phone calls, texts-- and have been extremely understanding and patient and he has never honored his promise to come and fix the problem. I have water going into my basement.
    I will remove this review when my gutters are properly installed to do the job they are supposed to do, and with the gutters I paid for.
