LIVE NIGHTMARE! THX Elite

They place a SECOND LIEN on my family member’s property for the SAME project WITHOUT releasing the first lien! AND WHILE SHE’S STILL MAKING LOAN PAYMENTS for the project! This company is out of control! My family member who is on disability has lost her health over this! THEY RIPPED OLD SHINGLES FROM OUR OWN ROOF TO PATCH UP THE HOLES THEY MADE WHEN THEY DAMAGED IT DURING FIRST INSTALLATION. They first put equipment in the WRONG place! They did not even know about it, because NO ONE FOLLOWED up on the work, EVEN THOUGH they promised to.
We had to call and tell them about it! They did VERY SLOPPY work BOTH times when moving the equipment to the right place, with BUNCH of mistakes and safety hazards, that I had people (like property inspectors, electric and roof professionals) climb my roof and tell me about it! THEY TOTALLY MISREPRESENTED their deal, promised things that are not in the contract like warranty and kilowatts, TOOK ADVANTAGE of people trusting them and signing their contract through phone! We were totally duped!
We now hate solar panels and don’t trust any general contractors! THEY GIVE BAD NAME TO THE INDUSTRY AND TO ALL THE HONEST GC’S. They have nothing holy. They scam elderly people too! Just look at their Yelp reviews (they now changed their name to Elite Home Development, lol). They have either 5 stars or 1 star reviews. All 5star reviews sound like they were written by the same person. lol. And in 1star reviews, you can read how they harass customers. DO NOT TRUST THEM IF YOUR LIFE DEPENDED ON IT. I curse the day when we opened our door to them! And that’s after NON STOP SOLICITING phone calls for days. Life has turned into hell ever since then.

We used Elite Home Remodeling to reroof an addition. My regular roofing guy was not available, it was raining, and Elite was able to do it right away.
We had the roof work done in 2020. Every time since then that it has rained, the roof has leaked around two skylights. The company sent roofers out to fix the problem that still is not fixed and getting worse with each progressive rain. I have not been able to get the ceilings inside my addition redone because the leaking has not been fixed. One gentlemen has come out at least three times to inspect the roof. After his last visit, he told me that the skylights are cracked and this is the reason the roof is leaking--it is not a roof problem. Until he told me this, not one other person told me that the skylights may be the problem. When the city inspector originally came out, she did not go up on the roof but she signed off on the permit. I know this because I was there the day she came to the house. Elite told me they would replace the skylights for $1400.00. I told them that I felt I should not have to pay anything since I have gone through so much inconvenience over the past two years. They had someone named Sam call me and we agreed that Elite would pay $700 and I would pay $700 to have them replace the skylights. When I received the DocuSign contract from them, the splitting of the $700 was the same but now the contract said I had to get another company to do the work. If that company did any damage to the roof, my warranty would be invalidated. I have sine agreed to pay the $1400 to have the skylights replaced but Elite is dragging its proverbial feet and does not want to come out even though I agreed to pay full price.

I would not recommend this company for reproofing. They do not honor their word. I have been told that Sam is going to call me after he talks to the owner. I just want them to do the work, pay them and be rid of them.
I notice that most of the reviews for this company do not mention reproofing. Anyway, if you need a new roof, this is not the company to do it.
