Dear Homeowners,
I'm writing to share a cautionary tale about our recent experience with Elite Paint Pros, specifically with Jorge, who was recommended by our general contractor for painting and staining work during our home remodel. We had an extensive amount of work, including painting all doors, casing, and baseboards, as well as staining brand new custom cabinets in the kitchen and both bathrooms, along with our new front door. Jorge presented himself as experienced and assured us of his quality work, and initially seemed personable and dedicated to meeting our tight move-in deadline.
Unfortunately, the quality of the work fell far short of expectations, leaving us in a difficult situation. We've discovered numerous issues, such as paint drip marks on the doors (apparently due to equipment malfunction), wall paint peeling off in most areas where he taped around windows, doors, baseboards, and cabinets, and excessive overspray of clear coat on the freshly stained cabinets. The front door is in such poor condition that Jorge himself acknowledged it would need to be sanded down and completely re-stained to be corrected. The most frustrating part is that Jorge has failed to follow through on fixing these issues despite multiple attempts to contact him by myself, our general contractor, and another worker. We are now left with the significant burden of hiring another painter to redo all the work while we are living in the house. While Jorge was initially a nice person, I now feel completely taken advantage of and want to warn others about our experience.
