I have worked with this contractor on many projects and you can’t ask for better people! They explain exactly what they are doing and how it works! Any questions, they answer immediately! Recommend them to everyone!!

After exhaustion of getting outbidded and not finding the right house in our budget, we decided to go with a new construction SPEC home with ELR, We’re so thankful that we went this route. Josh, Mary Lynne Reason and Len Reason Jr were amazing through the entire process from the literal ground up. I can’t speak highly enough of their local family business. This was our first new construction home so we were oblivious to the process. They were transparent and communicated with us through the entire process. They did a beautiful job with quality amenities. I’m talking granite countertops, LVP flooring, and shaker cabinets. It’s obvious that they care about building quality homes and the needs of their clients. We’ve been in our house for almost a year and are still in love with every aspect of it.

The team made our process very easy, from start to finish. The knowledge is definitely there. The subs they work with are great too. Throughout the build I had a friend of mine check the work (he’s a contractor) and he was very impressed with how neat it all was. The wife and I were too. I would recommend using them.

RUN AWAY FROM ELR! Building with them has been the biggest headache of my life. ELR was pleasant to work with during selections, but aside from this it was hell. ELR went against our contract and put in the wrong propane tank. When we brought this up during our walkthrough, the builder was very combative and rude and said he wouldn’t be changing it despite what our contract stated. After weeks of attorney back and forth, he finally agreed to put in a 100lb propane tank until the new one arrived. It was when we went to fill the 100lb tank that we were told it was expired and couldn’t be filled anywhere. ELR went out of their way to make this a hassle for us and I wish we had looked for better builders, but being new to North Carolina we didn’t know anything about them. I truly truly truly hope no one builds with them after this unless you enjoy stress, headaches and constant attorney follow up calls. Obviously low morals and values, which is sad for a family owned company.

I've been holding off on writing this review, wanted to let everything simmer before I come up with an overall generalization of this builder. If I had to do it all over again, I would avoid them. I'm not happy and I've given them the benefit of the doubt. From the building process to today, they are short tempered and would point fingers and yell before they admit to fault. If you have an issue, it doesn't get resolved. If you want it fixed, you have to do it on your own time and dime. I wish my review could have been better, but we still have issues that are not resolved. There's 1 review on here, with the customer going way back to childhood, I feel like that's the only house in the current neighborhood where they actually cared. The other 3 houses have shortcomings.
