Encore Construction

Encore Construction recently completed my new home build near Zion National Park. Let me start by saying, a more honest contractor you will not find in Southern Utah. Will Fischer, Encore owner, was recommended to me by a log cabin company based in Montana. At a time when no contractors were interested in taking on my project for a reasonable figure, Will kept in contact, though he was not able to immediately issue a bid. He called me weekly, asking questions and clarifying points of design and features for the house, trying to create the most accurate budget proposal possible. Then, once we were under contract and moving forward, Will made sure the project moved along at speed, completing the home in an astonishing 5 months! All through the process, Will kept in close contact with me, consulting on the multitude of decisions that by necessity must be a part of a custom home project. Further, he always had time for my questions or concerns, no matter where he was or what he was doing.

The quality of craftsmanship exceeds every expectation I had. The home is beautiful, inside and out. Other experienced construction professionals have even indicated their amazement at the perfection of the carpentry. Encore’s subcontractors and tradesmen were all highly professional and open to discussions with me about the finer specifics of how I preferred things.

Finally, Encore was on-budget. Even the bank was extremely impressed!

I now enthusiastically recommend Encore to anyone in this corner of Utah who needs a renovation or a new build done just right and on-budget. I feared the worst when I set out to build a home and couldn’t find a good contractor at a fair price, but Encore provided the best experience and end product I could have hoped for.

We contracted with Encore Construction as a result of having been recommended to them by a log home contractor that builds new log homes in Cedar City. We own a log home in New Harmony that needed some serious repair and attention. I very highly recommend Encore Construction. They are great craftsmen and are on time. Their work is beautiful. They not only know what they are doing with log homes but they did repair work to several outbuildings including one of our outbuildings that needed old and naturally weathered barn wood. They did that in such a way with weathered barn wood they provided so that it is virtually impossible to tell which boards they added even after they show you the section of the building where the work was done. It is very difficult to find a contractor that knows what they are doing when it comes to repairing and refurbishing a log home as well as doing repairs to other outbuildings such as an implement shed, barn and well house. These guys know and do it all. Encore was the most responsive of the four contractors we contacted for bids and they were the most thorough with their inspection and estimate. They did not give us the highest estimate but they were a lot more detailed in the work that needed done than the other contractors we talked to. They understood that since many logs had to be removed and replaced that this job had to be completed before fall to beat bad weather. They started the job very quickly once we signed the contract and they finished way before we expected. They are up to the task and never once let us down. Our entire place looks fantastic due to their expertise and quality of craftsmanship.
