Nightmare experience with this contractor, John Enck; zero stars would be more accurate. Unreliable, shoddy workmanship, he failed to pay subs and we ended up having to pay them directly to finish the project. In the end he never finished our project and we lost money having to hire a new contractor to complete the renovation. Still reaping the rotten fruits of his poor quality work (misaligned doors, nails jutting up out of floors, paint drips on expensive wallpaper, etc.), for which we paid a small fortune. Please refer to reviews of “Arc Edge LLC” for a more accurate picture—that was the former name of this business.

If one could give Arc Edge LLC less than one star it would be appropriate. John Enck or John M Enck is the owner of this business and also operates another business under the name Endscape LLC. Beware of this individual and any entity that he may create in the future. Our experience is that he will not complete work in a timely fashion, fails to pay his subs in a timely fashion, performs sub par work and generally should not be trusted with your home.

Horrible contractor no moral or business ethics. Could not adhere to schedule shoddy work. Owner John Enck very abrasive and not very customer friendly as far as I'm concerned when you spend over a million. Dollars on a renovation your contractor should not give you excuses for not finishing project in a timely fashion or finishing at all he is extremely unprofessional and in my opinion a habitual liar unresponsive to inquiries all in all horrible experience

Do NOT use Arc Edge. John Enck is the owner. Midway through our fairly extensive home renovation, it became clear that he was billing us for work that was not completed. It was impossible to get clear answers. At this point we had overpaid him by almost 100 grand. Then we started getting notified by subcontractors that he had not paid them. He walked away in early 2022, leaving behind several thousand dollars worth of equipment. Our house is currently without heat or AC and the back wall is temporary. We terminated him a few months later and tried contacting him multiple times. One particularly memorable time I called hm I called him - he answered. I said "John?" He answered "Yes. I gave my name. And suddenly he said "Sorry wrong number" - and hung up. Hindsight is always 20/20. We should have walked away from him the very first time he gave us a check to cover some of our expenses and it bounced. Or even one of the earliest meetings when he derisively told our architects "I'm sure not gonna take advice from an architect". But we just hope other people will see this and read it and avoid the significant stress and anguish we have gone through as a result of putting our trust in him.
