After reading these comments we made the mistake of still trusting LL Flooring on their statement of this being the only contractor they provided for our install, assuming that the company has resolved the quality of its employees. During the pandemic, only one of the workers wore their face mask during the time of installation. Workers were not only paying minimal attention to detail but when asked questions or given suggestions, became defensive and hostile towards us. At the end of the day:
-There was no sight of professionalism, attention to detail, or pride in craft during this project. Our floors were not verified for leveling or leveled prior to starting, there was zero use of measuring tape in determining cuts, nor were spacers used to ensure appropriate expansion gap between walls and plank edges.
-Nail holes in shoe molding that we were told would be filled were not filled, our walls, molding, and trim were left stained, and several planks of flooring have pencil stains from cutting and random spots of adhesive.
-There is a very noticeable dip in a heavily trafficked area of the house and inside powder room-- no verification of floor's leveling was made aside from the removal of our old floors aside from great deal of hammering down the subfloor.
-The workers damaged our kitchen counter while moving appliances and did not glue back cabinet kickboards as asked before moving the oven back into its space.
-Left our powder room toilet in the middle of the foyer,
-did not complete any sort of walkthrough or review of the work,
-and left our house and furniture extremely dusty.

Even after the PM came in the second day of work to review our questions and provide answers, the workers did not complete all of the repairs discussed, and it took our being on top of DO NOT trust LL Flooring with their statements of "these are the guys we'd want to have in our house."

I am updating my earlier review from June 11, 2018. After much back and forth with Lumber Liquidators and Epic, Epic did replace my new bamboo floors at the end of July. They also leveled the floors, which should have been done the first time back in June Unlike the first go-round, this crew was on the ball and left the house clean.

I had the hardwood floors in my rental unit replaced by Epic Flooring and the experience working with them was nothing less than fantastic. Sean was my point of contact and was very helpful and incredibly patient when it came to working with a difficult tenant who was reluctant to provide payment for damage she had caused. Sean went above and beyond by providing me with regular updates on the status of the progress for the install as well as communications with the tenant. I would definitely work with them again in the future--though hopefully I'll have better luck with tenants and won't need to be back for business anytime soon!! Don't hesitate to work with them for your next project.

    install laminate flooring

These were possibly the worst contractors I have ever dealt with. They were the installers who Lumber Liquidators used to install our laminate flooring. They did nothing to prep the sub-floor resulting in uneven and spongy feel when walking on the floor. They did an amateur job of installing trim (baseboard and quarter-round) that looked uneven and was even missing in some areas. They did not caulk anything despite charging us for caulking.

Worst of all,, they left the house a mess. They made uneven undercuts on the door frames, left dirt and dust all over the floor, left inches of dirt in the air vents, and threw their lunch trash of chicken wings, shrimp, and fried rice on our garage floor. When I asked the owners (Sean and Steve) to come out to see the mess (on a Friday night) Sean told me they were going away on a fishing trip for the weekend. He said he would meet me on Monday at my house at 4:30. He showed up at 5:45. I was to angry and upset to even talk to him at that point.

I strongly advise that if you are having flooring installed, make sure this company is not doing it.

Response from Epic Flooring, LLC July 6, 2018
We understand that Donna was not satisfied with our work. I offered to send cleaners to the house the next day following the install but was told that it was not needed. Since she was so unhappy with her experience with us, we fully refunded her labor charges plus the cost of removing anything that we installed, and even paid for all of her material costs so that she could go with another installer. There are two sides to every story but I feel that giving her a full refund should settle this matter.
