While the home was being built, we found multiple errors such as crooked walls, broken wood, gaps between wood, gaps between beams that hold up the home, cracks in cement, water damage, leaks, holes in grout etc. We also found several beer cans/bottles while the house was a skeleton, and after the doors would be locked because it was almost completed. We brought all these concerns to Arturo Lucero in a meeting our realtor scheduled, and I showed him pictures of these concerns. He said these are "human errors," but he would have them fixed. (Some were not fixed and are noticeable today). As for the beer, he stated that they have a strict policy of not drinking while working and if I didn't catch them in the act, then it was "probably a homeless person or kids that broke into the house and left their bottles here." (Our home was "locked," and we found a beer box hidden in the kitchen cabinets). Our garage, (where one of the walls was crooked but not fixed), was scratching the wall every time it closed. I brought it up to their foreman and we were told "all the garages do that". I contacted Bella Homes many times. I finally contacted Javier Navarrete because dirt was coming through and covered my husband’s car. He sent workers this past Friday Oct.16 but they still cannot fix it (We moved on May 29, 2020). Our garage on the left side is nearly 8 inches from the sidewalk. The right side is only 6 inches from the sidewalk. We have several walls that are crooked to the point where the moldings touch certain areas of the wall and not on others. We brought this up to Arturo prior to us moving in. Not fixed and are noticeable. We also contacted Bella because we were missing sealant in all the showers, tubs, and sinks so the grout was cracking. They added silicone Sept. 28, 2020. I worry this may cause problems later.A leak, prior to us moving in, damaged the wall. The stucco swelled about 3 inches and my cabinet inside the master bathroom were damaged. I asked Bella to fix these prior to moving in but because it is a "cosmetic issue" it will not be fixed or replaced. I called Javier Navarrete Oct. 2 at 9:30 and he came to see the concerns. I asked him to please open up the wall so we can see if any wood was damaged and he said that once the 11th month comes up, if some damage springs up they will fix it, no matter if our warranty expired. We had over 30 cracks, and small/large holes in my grout all over the kitchen. They said it was due to the construction nearby. They fixed this in early October. We have over 50 stains on the wall that look different than the rest of the wall. These were brough up during the walk through. They said they would fix this, the cracked grout, etc. but they were not fixed. Before our “30 days to write a work order to correct any further issues” ended we submitted work orders of thing that were not corrected. They said since we signed the document that same day and these are "cosmetic issues" they will not be fixed. We also had a wall that was protruding from the rest of the wall. I mentioned it during the walk through. Was not fixed. 3 months later some gentlemen came to fix it. They patched it up and it looks awful. I asked them to redo it but it is a “cosmetic issue not a functional issue” they refuse to repair it. Our hot water does not work very well. We must leave the shower running over 5 minutes, on the highest heat setting, for warm water. They said there is no way to correct this. They did not build our entertainment center with lights. They had to send workers to rebuild the structure and add lights. This occurred July 27th but was not completed till after September 2nd. We had to keep calling to come finish it. They left the entertainment center a mess so another gentleman had to redo it. I am gravely disappointed in how many repairs were needed and how many were not fixed. I have become frustrated with all the cancelled appointments, no shows, leaving without communicating, saying “I don’t see anything wrong with it”, showing up/leaving unannounced etc. Yes, they have corrected many areas, but on some crucial areas they keep giving us the run around. Please assist us. We just wanted a good, well-built, efficient home and what we paid for.
