Ernie did not do a good job on my house. The paint started to peal three years after it was painted. I called Ernie and asked if he could redo and told him why. This took place in January 2015. After many e-mails and excuses, he finally sent his men to redo the job on April 21, 2015. The trouble I had to go through was hectic and would not recommend him to anyone. Hopefully the new paint job will not peel so I don't have to go through this again. His warranty is good for : 15 years on stucco and six years on wood. So time will tell.

To condo directors: You'll be dealing with a contractor that's cheap, in all senses of that word. Yes, they do the job, but: 1. This company's principal starts off by making promises that aren't then included in the contract and thus don't get done. 2. They aren't a "lead-safe certified firm" per the EPA, which means that their painting work is illegal on buildings built before 1978. 3. Their version of "two coats" on stucco is to make a second pass within 10 minutes, before the first coat has dried. 4. When confronted about substandard paint application that I witnessed, their first reaction was to deny it. 5. They don't stand behind their work; their warranty is meaningless. At this condo complex, they completed the job more than 3 years ago -- and have yet to re-do the surfaces that have failed (here and there), despite many calls. They claim their crews are too busy. So protect yourself: show the contract to your attorney first, and hire a contract supervisor.
