    Floor remodeling
    $25,000

    What a terrible job.
We agreed on a plywood 23x49 ft floor with fireproof rug, but half of it was done in plywood and the other half was done in OSB. I didn't personally go to check the job being done so he would just send me pictures of the half that was done in plywood and installed the rug on top of it, and when I arrive, I'm surprised to find that the floor echoes/sounds different and shrieks in one half (the OSB half), I ask him what the issue is, and he insists that it was because there were issues with the floor leveling and OSB would make up for it because it's stronger.

The man was trusting I would not notice because the rug was on top of that mess.

The rug was not put correctly and likely was cut before it was placed, you can see the wooden floor in the corners and close to the walls. The worst part is that he still insists that there were no issues with the job and these "overlooks" are common but this is nowhere near the quality he promised and about $6.000 worth of fireproof glass fiber rug is ruined on top of $9.000 I paid for the floor being redone and leveled, adding that to other expenses this has cost me well over $25.000.

    Remodeling
    $30,000

I've been waiting for 6 months for him to complete a contract he has been paid 100% for, and gave a time estimate of 1 month to complete! He is very deceptive, a liar and turns out he has done this MULTIPLE times before. He cashes his checks at check cashing places because he knows how many people he owes money too!

    Store floor
    $25,000

I don't know why he got 1 star from everyone. When I hired him last month I knew what I was going to get, a poor floor for cheap! Yes he cut corners and it wasn't up to building code, but I'm not here forever. I just needed a floor to look good enough to sell the store before they realized the floor would have to be completely redone in 3 months. You get what you pay for. Yes Eugene Harrington uses Home Depot and charges a 300% markup + labour costs, but that's just the cost of business!!

I'm a Realtor in NYC setting stores, and things have to LOOK good, they don't need to work. As long as I sell the place, the tenant is on the hook for a 10 year lease, THEY CAN PAY FOR A GOOD FLOOR, NOT ME!

    Flooring Job
    $40,000

This guy will do a job poorly just to hand you a change order and expect you to pay up to fix the problem HE CREATED. My advice is to never hire this guy. He pays people to refer him with a 5% commission so don't be fooled by people referring him to you.

  • March 31, 2020

This contractor is continuously shown to fail as his supposed title and should not be hired for any job of any kind. He will cut corners, lie to you, steal from you, and do things behind your back and not in your best interest.

    basement Renovation

I would not recommend Eugene Harrington, he took my money and did not complete my basement Renovation. He told me he had to take a couple of weeks off, two weeks turned into 4 months and I finally fired him. This was an expensive Lesson. Always do research on your Contractors.

    Level a floor
    $50,000

Eugene is a liar. He will promise quality work. Had to have a contractor tear up his brand new floor because of squeaking. My 12 yrs old son could shim a floor better. Large sections of floor did not contain shims.

    Living room remodel
    $521,585

If you want a contractor that will take your money over promise and not deliver go with this contractor. He is your common day thief and will do everything to take you for everything he can. Paid him over 50,000 for a remodel including painting, new floors, new doors and new electrical. Ended up removing the old floors and doing nothing else but instead claiming I owed him additional money to complete the project. He violated the contract that we agreed to.

I wouldn't recommend Eugene to my worst enemy. He did a terrible job with the renovation of my store and now I have to hire another contractor to fix the bad job he did. The "$600" door he put in is more like a $60 door.

level floor and set up store walls
    $28,000

    Storefront remodelling
    $40,000

Contractor continually cuts corners. It’s impossible to have a conversation with him as he’s always gas lighting and cutting you off.

Paid full asking price for the job, with more than what was asked for a desposit upfront with hopes they would complete in a timely manner. Instead we were met with some of the cheapest building materials I have ever seen in my life, and only one guy working during the hours he expected us not to be there to inspect, and 3 when he thought we would.

Sub floor is atrocious, I am now having to hire another contractor to entirely rip out the 20 000$ mess that they have left for us, and start from scratch.

Unless you love burning money, getting ripped off, and being infuriated, id recommend looking elsewhere
