Vahik came to our rescue after a car smashed through the front wall of our house. Another contractor was trying to scare us into very large scale repairs saying our house would collapse if we didn't follow his advice on the approach and basically rip out the whole area and start over.
We went with Vahik's team and they carefully dismantled the broken section and meticulously custom cut and fit new lumber to replace the shattered pieces. It was more like watching custom craftsmanship than rough framing. The boards were sliding into place with no gaps! The finish work was impeccable and Vahik made sure we were happy before he left. And to top it all off, there was a gaffe with the insurance and we were not able to pay him as promised. He was extremely patient with us and we would certainly recommend him to anyone.

Vahik did a huge remodel for us and pretty much turned a 2 bedroom 2 bathroom house into a 6 bedroom, 5 bathroom house. A year after we began the construction we are in our house and still LOVE Vahik and his crew. Now that our job is coming to an end, we are actually sad that we won't see all of them on a daily basis. They are genuinely great people and are masters in their craft. The finish work on our house is superb. We interviewed 10 contractors before we chose Vahik, hoping that we had made the right decision. Now, our house surpasses everything that we could have hoped for and we truly owe it all to Vahik and his crew.
In every aspect of our job, Vahik and his brother Shahe would use the best material and try to critically think about what was being done and think about how it would affect the next three steps. Vahik stayed true to his price that he quoted us and we had very minimal and completely reasonable change orders on things that we had changed our mind on. One day in the middle of the job, I came home and found Shahe watering my fruit trees which I had completely neglected. This was in no way part of his job, but he was worried that my trees were going to die. This is the kind of people they are, they CARE about you, your family, your property. They go above and beyond the scope of work and I saw this on a daily basis.
We cannot say enough great things about Vahik and his crew. We would HIGHLY recommend him to anyone needing any sort of construction. He is very straightforward and honest. I never worried for a second whether he had my best interest at heart.
He is a perfectionist which is a great quality in a contractor. He thinks that your home is a reflection of himself and he wants it to be perfect.

Vahik Tatoosi remodeled my bathroom after my previous contractor disappeared after the demolition phase. Vahik worked tirelessly and completed the project efficiently, but he did not cut corners and his price was very reasonable. He also suggested various design enhancements which were much appreciated. There are 14 pictures of my bathroom on the Tatoosi website so you can see for yourself the quality of his work (look for the travertine tiles). I am also happy to speak with you directly about the work he did for me. My work number is 818-676-5079. - Lorin Engquist [email protected]

I am a three-time homeowner and have undergone quite a few extensive projects around each home. To say that Vahik Tatoosi is the most unprofessional, arrogant, incompetent, and crude contracting professional (an oxymoron in itself) we’ve ever dealt with is not an overstatement—it’s the truth.
Since we are close family friends to someone who refers him the bulk of his business, he gave us the lowest bidding price for the work we needed done. However, he was clearly unhappy with the final price, as he consistently reminded us that he was doing the work at a huge discount whenever problems arose. And a litany problems certainly arose, of which each and every time, Vahik refused to take responsibility and blamed issues on other people, on the reality of any construction work, or on us—the clients. The quality of his work reflects only a fraction of the final price we paid for everything. Needless to say, he feels he did work for free, and we feel we got robbed. The only time he ever apologized for his shoddy mistakes was when he and his men couldn’t get the crown moulding correct in our bedroom; after four tries, the moulding was still done so poorly that I could have done it myself by watching a how-to video on YouTube. Guys smoking on our property? No apology. Tiles coming loose in the kitchen? No apology. Sprinkler pipe severed, flooding our foundation for weeks until I caught it because he never shut off the water supply? No apology. Support beams removed from under the house that could have eventually caused the floorboards to collapse (according to his own contracted workers who eventually fixed the problem) when vents were installed at the bottom of the house? No apology. Clearly, he doesn’t understand the gross negligence involved in the event that a floor collapses underneath a client—especially one with a newborn baby. You can add naïve and ill-informed to the list of adjectives.
As he was yelling at my wife over the phone today, he again claimed that he gave us a $20,000 discount, when his bid was only $3,500 less than someone whom in retrospect we should’ve used. I would’ve gladly paid the $3,500 “premium” for a true professional with a strong work ethic, who values customer service, who understands the referral process, and who has true pride in the finished product rather than the bottom line. By the way, without getting into details, he was yelling at my wife because she simply wanted to know when he would be at the house, and he thought that she was accusing him of some duplicity. Such verbal “misunderstandings” were quite common with him. He has by far the worst communication skills out of anyone I have ever worked with, bar none.
He has a delusional sense of work ethic and felt completely entitled to criticize the work of anyone else (we chose different plumbers and electricians), yet he failed to acknowledge the failures of projects under his direct supervision. The fact that he never had a project manager on site at all times probably contributed to that problem. I could go into detail regarding each and every offense he committed (of which only the most critical were ever brought to his attention), but the bottom line is save your time, heartache, and money. Do not ever use Vahik Tatoosi or Tatoosi Construction for any work whatsoever.

I am writing to express my unwavering support and approval for Vahik Tatoosi as a contractor. He is the sole contractor I refer to my clients because of his proven track record of excellent service and work. I have a long history of working with Vahik, and over 40 clients of mine have used his services, always with excellent results and customer satisfaction. Vahik is very familiar with FHA standards and can ensure a property maintains these standards. Vahik has done work on my own personal properties too, and he did great work and I was very pleased with the results. I highly recommend Vahik Tatoosi for any construction, remodeling, and repair needs.

Executive Design & Construction exceeded our expectations in every way. From the initial consultation to the final walkthrough, their team was professional, communicative, and detail-oriented. They helped us navigate a complex demolition and rebuild project involving a main house and an existing ADU, and their expertise with permits, utilities, and city inspections was invaluable.
What really stood out was their ability to anticipate challenges and provide smart, code-compliant solutions that kept the project moving smoothly. The crew was respectful, clean, and clearly experienced. We felt taken care of from start to finish, and the quality of their work speaks for itself.
