  Electrical Repairs

  Total Tech was assigned by our home warranty company (American Home Shield) to repair electrical problems we were experiencing after purchasing our new home in Warren, Ohio. From the moment I requested the tech to put on a mask before coming into my home, to the fraudulent diagnosis they made of our home, our experience was terrible. The tech indicated that he would be returning to his office to request additional approval from AHS to perform the work needed to track down our wiring issues. Lights that worked perfectly during our home inspection are no longer working correctly -- or are flickering -- and we are concerned about the wiring. Instead of requesting approval for specific repairs, this company reported that our problems were all "pre-existing" and therefore should not be covered by the warrenty. They got our inspection report, so it is clear that all of the houses electrical was working at the time of sale, so the company just flat out LIED to our warranty provider. I can only speculate the reason for their unprofessional and fraudulent behavior, but I feel that it boils down to lack of integrity, inability to handle complex electrical diagnosis, and the unwillingness to take on a house of our size (6000 sq ft) at the negotiated rate AHS would pay for my job. Shameful business practices.

  Fix track lights that would not come on

  This company came out to our home because our HSA sent them. The young man walked in, did not introduce himself... I still don’t know his name.. and asked me what the problem was. He said he fixed it, it was working when he left, but by the end of the day was no longer working. It was impossible to reach the company again to reschedule... they ignored three of my messages. My husband contacted HSA again and suddenly they were calling me to set a time to come back out. He said he thought it might be the transformer, and that he would be back to install one. We got a text from HSA confirming the time. No one ever showed up, and I got no call or text. When I texted the number for them (I knew the number because they had texted me earlier about being late for the second appointment) I got no reply. I texted again a few days later to say this was not a great way to do business... they texted back saying who is this? I have never received a text from this number before. I asked if he would like me to copy and paste our text history, which I did. I received no response, but I got a text from another number saying something about the part being on order. They then gave me another time they would be out, but I said I had to work that day. I also said I was concerned because I had never gotten an apology about the no show and I felt it was important to respect other people’s time. I just wanted to make sure they would show up this time. I have yet to get a response to that text, and it has been 5 days. There are MANY other companies out there doing the same thing, find one who is reliable and respectful and understands good customer service.

  WAY OVER PRICED.. got price quote for adding breakers to box, was told needed " Special Type" and quoted over 300.00 for work to be done, I have brother-in-law out of town look at it after words and said real simple fix breakers are not very expensive 7.00 - 18.00.... most should cost for breakers is 50.00.
  Will look for someone thats not going to LIE to me.
