I hired a contractor Frank Melon to re-build a masonry wall for $4,500. He did not finish it per our verbal contract (was supposed to wash the stones). Also either because he used bad cement or did lousy job or both, the wall started to fall apart right away. In a week after the job was completed, few stones fall off. I texted. He did not reply, but fixed it within few days. The next week another plate and few more stones fall. He did not reply my texts or calls for a while, until few weeks thereafter I finally caught him on the phone. He promised to fix it and did not do it. In few more weeks of waiting and attempts to get him by texts or calls I wrote that I’m going to complain in BBB. He came few hours later. We had unpleasant arguments but he still promised to finish and fix the job which never happened.
I’m warning people about his unsatisfying work and service.

Whenever I need or want work done on the house, I always hire Frank. He has replaced windows on my house, installed siding, fixed a roof leak, added a bedroom addition, laid and finished oak floors in the bedrooms as well as Spanish tile in the mudroom, remodeled my kitchen and much more. If I had had the foresight, I would have just had him build me a custom home from scratch! He is trustworthy and knowledgeable in the way only an experienced contractor of many years can be. His work is great and he is extremely trustworthy. Several of my friends have also hired him after seeing his quality work at my house. I cannot recommend him highly enough! I read the negative review on this site and cannot believe it - Frank is the best! I will certainly hire him again when needed. If you want references like I did, just ask him. Great guy, even greater builder. Also, he is fully licensed and carries the necessary workers' compensation and liability insurance.
