I first called Family Air at the end of May 2019 to diagnose and repair our A/C system that was not working. Their knowledgeable repairman, Greg informed me the compressor needed to be replaced, so we had Family Air install a ‘new’ compressor at a cost of almost $4000.00. Then last summer once again the A/C was not working. Family Air said the condenser fan motor had to be replaced - another $625. This year (July 2021) ONCE AGAIN, the A/C stopped working. Family Air said we need another new compressor for a cost of $3500. First of all, we were originally charged for a new compressor in 2019, and two years later they want to charge us for another? Normally a compressor lasts 12 to 15 years, yet the said there was no warranty or guarantee. I had to wait two weeks in 100 degree weather to even get a response from the owner and office person. This company has no ethics and appears to care less about their customers comfort and loyalty. Other HVAC companies I spoke with described their actions as criminal and unethical, and I have to strongly agree. Avoid this company if you don’t want to pay thousands of dollars EVERY summer for defective parts and maintenance with no guarantee and no ethics.
