    Retaining Walls project

    Replaced approximately 32 Ft. of retaining wall on the shoreline of our "H" Lake.

    Started & finished the Job as he said. Every action was handled in professional manner. It was a pleasure to see him perform the job in such a manner.

    After months of searching for a qualified & capable marine contractor I came across Steve Farris @ Farris Marine. I contacted Steve on a Thursday & he arrived that following Sunday morning to review my site & discuss my project. Steve was extremely thorough with his inspection & provided a detailed analysis of what his game plan would be. As explained to Steve, one of my chief concerns was the limited area he would have to work within. My home sits about 50' away from a canal. The extensive & very expensive landscaping my wife and I had designed limited the working area & access to the bulkhead -- confined to about 20' of actual space to maneuver within. Steve assured me that it would be no problem & he could easily work within the area. Within 48 hours of our first meeting/consultation, Steve's business partner & bride sent me a proposal. The proposal was extremely detailed - that's when I knew my search was over. Steve's paid very close attention to everything I had requested & it showed upon my review of that proposal! I hired Farris Marine within 30minutes after reviewing their prop. In summary, Steve, Nicole & Farris Marine were amazing! Farris Marine broke ground 8 days after our first meeting. The job was completed ahead of schedule, even with the nasty weather, tidal flooding & small working area they were confined to. when they left the site every evening their equipment was stored & covered neatly. once they removed their heavy equipment and materials, Steve also showed he was a man of his word by repairing the grounds (minimal repair) that he worked on. It was just a couple weeks later & you couldn't even tell anyone had maneuvered an excavator or had even been on the land. The bulkhead complete & my landscaping looks just as good -- if not better than the it did before they started. Needless to say, Steve was a pleasure to work with, very personal & a great family man! Steve and I have become pretty good friends since & he's now gained my trust for life as well as referral business from my neighbors! if you're looking for a contractor that over delivers on their promise, affordable & just a terrific, local small business marine contractor, Farris Marine is the first & last place you will need to look!     Steve Farris is great.
    Steve replaced my entire bulkhead. Set me up with engineers for the approvals etc.
    I actually had 4 bids on the project. I checked out each bidders work, asked the same questions as you.
    Steve came in with a fair price, better construction than the other bidders, did it on time and the same cost he quoted me.
    He just completed a dock replacement at the corner of canal road and broad bay road. You can see it as you drive down broad bay road.
    Steve is precise, exacting, tell you the way it needs to be done and will not go with an inferior construction.
    He did quite a few extra projects (lifting my boat house, stabilizing etc.) at no additional cost.
    He has been in the business for 20 plus years. Worked for the big name guys and went out on his own.
    Liked everything about Steve and his crew.
    Nothing negative I could say in any form.
    Sorry, I live on Bay Island. Again, by all means, I can point out the diff between his work and the other guys. All you have to do is look around and you can see the diff.
