This man did a very unsatisfactory job. He would come, stay two to four hours and then leave for the day. On more that one occasion he left paint cans just standing open, sometimes with a brush or roller still down in the paint. The cans were on the back porch and in the garage. He took almost three weeks to complete the job which should have taken a week or so.
He bid the job to include making a few repairs in places where there was rotting/deteriorating wood/siding. He just caulked and painted over most of these places and then refused to repair things, eventually stating that he did not know how to do the repairs.
He did not properly prep many areas, did zero sanding to smooth any surfaces, after promising to do so. He used no primer on any surfaces.
Many surfaces, both facia and siding are all streaked up. A representative from Sherwin-Williams came and looked at the house and showed us in a book how the streaks were caused by improper painting techniques and methods, perhaps even defective equipment.
He would go to the local labor pool and just pick up various guys and then bring them with him to paint. He brought 5 or 6 different ones over the course of the job.
He would get angry when we would point out areas that were not properly painted and at the end was throwing and slamming around his ladder. It was so bad that my wife told me that she just wanted him off of our property.
I would never use this man again nor would I recommend him to anyone. In my opinion he is unprofessional, incompetent, totally unreliable, and dishonest,

every now and then we run into a a problem or two with CONTENTIOUS people like John Shewmaker, If you ever ran into him then i guess you know what i am saying,
We have a long list a very satisfied customers & a short list of people like john.
after a walk through, and doing all touch up, with a lot of bickering from John, and being completely satisfied he finely payed the balance due , thank GOD, we thought
After i found out he gave me a bad review on a web page like build zoom, we the holy spirit & i, asking him to accept my apology for any inconvenience that WE have caused him, said WHY SHOULD I . John has a problem. WE can only hope that he can find it in his heart to forgive the reasons for a his unhappy self centered ways, And remove the negativity that he wrote on build zoom.
WE can only ask that if your reading this that you will not take it serious enough not to give Father Son Team Painting, a chance to add you to my long list of SATISFIED CUSTOMERS.
