    Contracted for a custom built house, we got delivered that custom home, and gained a family.

    We discovered FEICHT CONTRACTING from friends who highly recommended the boutique builder. We did our due diligence and were happy with what we discovered, a solid company who do what they say they are going to do, and when they say they’ll do it.

    Truly a custom home builder, Feicht Contracting built our home on the water in 2016. Inside and out, Feicht’s team put extreme attention to detail in their materials and craftsmanship, and only brought in the finest subcontractors in the business. Needless to say, we love our home.

    Rory and Gordy truly made us feel that our home, when it was being built was their only priority.

    My wife and I can rattle off the names of almost every employee at Feicht, because the professional crew became family.

    Rory, Gordy, Lisa, Shawn, G3, the Woode brothers (Josh, Daniel, Garrett), Chris Anthony, and Henry ... Thank you, job well done!

    Hire At Your Own Risk

    Over 2 years ago, we contracted with Feicht Contracting to build our custom house. They told us it would take about 4 months, but allowed themselves 6 months in the contract just in case. 10 months later, we were trying to push them to finish in time for us to move in before our apartment lease ran out. We struggled to get them to commit to a finish date as we were attempting to lock in interest rates. We had to pay a fee of a couple thousand dollars to keep our locked-in rate because they kept moving the closing date out further and further.

    During the building process, despite providing the foreman of the project with a detailed list of all design decisions for each room in the house and walking through the hardware store (at least 3 times!) and pointing out each one of our choices, he consistently got it wrong. We found the wrong tile in the laundry room (eventually fixed), the wrong sink faucets in the bathroom (also fixed), the vanity countertops in both bathrooms were an inch too short (not fixed yet), our roof is the wrong color (not going to be fixed), the windows in the basement were placed in the wrong locations (can't really fix this either), we didn't have a finished shower in the master bathroom for several months after we moved in, undercabinet lighting was installed when we specifically said we didn't want it (and they tried to charge us for it), two shower heads were installed in a shower where we had said we only wanted one (again, tried to charge us for the extra work), a two story tall pile of dead trees that they cleared from our lot and the lot next to us are haphazardly piled about 50 feet from our garage (we've been assured that they will be removed, but 2 years later they're still there), and numerous other issues. Furthermore, we had been repeatedly assured throughout the whole building process that we were within budget for flooring and other options until closing day when they presented us with an overage bill for several thousand dollars.

    In addition to all these issues, we have been in our house for over 1.5 years now and Feicht Contracting still has yet to fix all the issues outlined in our final walkthrough punch list. I had been giving them the benefit of the doubt and not writing a negative review, but I'm fed up. Perhaps this review will actually motivate them to come out and finish the job they started over 2 years ago.

    I do not recommend this builder. Contract with them at your own risk.
