I hired Richard and his wife to install a concrete floor in the first floor of a house I had purchased. I signed a contract with him which specified the exact material he was to use (Milestone), which has to be spackled on with a trowel. Unbeknownst to me, Richard used another product which he poured on, and since he did not block off floor heat registers, it flowed down into them. The finished floor did not look like Milestone would have looked. I had paid him about $30,00 for this job. Richard moved away from WA state, which is where my home is, right after completing my job, making it near impossible to remedy this situation or collect for damages against his bond. I do not know if I can now try and legally force him to be accountable since he has re-opened his company in CA. At least I want to warn future customers about him. Do not use or trust him.
