By a user in Las VegasJune 30, 2018Response from Fix A Pool LLC October 3, 2019This review is totally false. When I met this client her pool was green with algae. We offered her the solution of draining the pool and performing and acid wash with a chlorine bath. This is the standard and normal procedure when dealing with a solid green pool. We performed the services as promised and the client was very happy with the end results. After the cleaning was done the pool was filled and the equipment started up. At this point our services were completed. The client paid the invoice and was very happy. For some reason her pool formed algae in a month. Simple pool chemistry knowledge requires that you add chlorine, conditioner and muriatic acid to the new water to balance the chemistry and to prevent the future growth of algae. It was obvious that no chemicals were added thus leading to her pool forming algae again. Instead of accepting responsibility for poor maintenance of her pool a month after we were done, she chose to blame us and give us a bad review. I am always very polite with my clients and especially if we have an issue to repair. The most important thing to this company is customer satisfaction. Again, neither Fix-A-Pool nor any other pool company that provides an acid wash can guarantee that a month later your pool will be algae free if you do not add chemicals to balance the water chemistry. I think it is very sad that this lady feels the need to bad mouth a company because of her lack of knowledge of pool maintenance. Also note that this clients back yard was a complete mess with debris and unkept landscaping everywhere. Excess plant matter blowing into pool will add phosphates in the water which feed algae.

Fix-A-Pool completed an Acid/ Chlorine Wash on 5/23/2018 to get rid of the algae on the sides of my pool. When the pool was refilled it look beautiful. In less than a month the algae is coming back. When I contacted Fix-A-Pool I was told it wasn’t their responsibly or problem by Leonard (owner). I couldn’t believe how horrible a response I received back. Leonard stated that once the pool has the acid wash done algae does not grow back. Well, the algae is coming back no matter what he says. Leonard said algae grows due to lack of chlorine and poor circulation. The chemicals in the pool are perfectly balanced by checking with a dipstick and I even went to Leslies and they stated everything was good. I run my pool filter from 8am-8pm daily with good circulation and oh by the way Fix-A-Pool also cleaned my pool filter which is now leaking. Leonard is trying to come up with reasons the algae is coming back is my fault. I hate a company that will not take responsibility for their work. Don’t use Fix-a-Pool if you want their work guaranteed as well as them taking responsibility for their work. I feel like I paid $500 for nothing.
