We do primarily single family residential work. Those include many remodel projects, transforming homes the owners could not imagine or visualize could be fixed let alone made to look like they had always been the new way. We make a project exciting and possible and that energy is what people are attracted to. We provide hope.
We do design new home projects, both traditional as well as modern, depending on a clients preferences. We do have strong roots in well detailed traditional styles, but our experience in modern styles is growing and being honed in unique forms and uses of building materials.

I hired Richard Flake to draft as-built drawings for a remodel we were working on and to provide recommendations for bringing the house to code. After 4 months of being patient with Mr. Flake and putting up with his constant excuses and poor attitude, we had no drawings, no engineering, missed deadlines, and nothing to submit to King County. He missed every deadline that he set for himself. It became clear that he doesn't like his job, and he has an adversarial relationship with King County. Due in part to his absolutely terrible performance, we decided to abandon the project and sell the house unfinished in the middle of the remodel. I requested final accounting and a refund of the remaining balance. Two months after ending the project, Mr. Flake has not provided a partial refund. We paid him $4,500 and got nothing but excuses and stress. So, not only is Richard Flake terrible to work with, he's also a crook. Do yourself a favor and get someone else. Even if Richard Flake is the only one who will take your project on short notice, you will regret working with him and want to find another architect. Good luck getting a refund from this crook... This guy is a nightmare!
