I've had a terrible nightmare of an experience with this contractor. Work started October 2015. We were told by Jerry he had leftover asphalt from repaving our neighborhood community road we share. We thought why not have our driveway paved...good deal right with leftover asphalt? Then he didn't have enough product to finish so he got another load. The price, of course, went up. He again didn't have enough product to finish so yet another load, price going up again. Jerry (Owner) of Flat Iron Paving is supposed to be the expert right? We now realized we could have had this done cheaper by a reputable contractor who knew what they were doing. It was obvious at this point we had gotten scammed. The work included sealant after a 30-day cure. Well, we got excuse after excuse, rains can't do it in the rain, even when we had good weather we were told by Jerry Globe, Owner it had to be hotter so we waited till Spring of 2016 because we were assured the asphalt would be OK to seal then. Have been contacting him for months in 2016. Excuse after excuse and has broken every date he has given us to seal our driveway. Left a business card in one of our fence posts on 2.5 acres where my stepdaughter found it. Saying clear off the driveway and will seal this next Saturday so we called and followed up. He never showed the Saturday he indicated, never showed the following Tuesday. This contractor is not trustworthy in our opinion and does not do what he says. I highly recommend regardless of his scam of having leftover asphalt and giving a good deal on it that anyone thinks three times before using Flat Iron Paving, Jerry Globe, Owner. It's unfortunate for us we had to learn the hard way and will never use this contractor again. It appears we may have to seek legal action against this company in order to get satisfaction.

Had a two day job with Flat Iron Paving to repair and apply overlay on our asphalt driveway. The work was done timely, quality work and would definitely recommend them for other paving jobs. Make sure you agree with and understand scope of proposal! Soon after contacting them Jerry came and wrote up proposal and not long afterwards completed the job! He has a great hard working crew!
