I hired Flores Orellana Home Improvement LLC from Bayonne, NJ to demo and rebuild a 35 sf deck. Small platform with stairs from the second egress of my home.
Jessica said she had a 5 person team but I never met more than 2 others.
Jessica gave me a reasonable quote with my terms which were:
I place the material order with her assistance compiling it.
Deck built using Trex
Materials on site before demo begins
Photos of each footer's depth before pouring
Completion in 5 days (weather permitting)
Jessica responded quickly to all of my concerns and helped develop multiple material orders. Jessica even picked up the materials and delivered to my location. But the orders were incorrect. Wrong lumber size, wrong color for the facia, wrong baluster height, wrong size cement tubes.
Timing was right so they demolished my deck and poured the footings.
Footings were not precisely placed, poured incorrectly and only 1 footing photo was shared with me.
After sharing my concerns, the footings were promptly removed and placed in a pile with the remaining concrete remnants still needing to be hauled away. Existing conditions of the building's façade were never addressed.
Jessica then said she was booked for the rest of the summer.
Left me without a 2nd egress and a pile of concrete and lumber remnants.
And Jessica hasn't returned my keys as I had requested. Which led to me spending more money replacing locks.
Nice enough crew but lazy and took shortcuts. They really need to learn more. A lot more.
