Started out good building me a new house, and what was done was done well. But then I found out that as a small contractor, he needed to be paid progress payments faster than the contract required. I paid, assuming he would finish all the work per the contract. However, he unexpectedly quit before the new house was built - he lied to the county about why he quit, blaming it on me. He also stole some of the things that were to be installed in the house. I had to finish construction myself, costing me well over the contract price.
