    Bathtub replacement

WISH THEY HAD A NEGATIVE SCALE RATING!!!
The worst decision we ever made was to use FHIA!!! They replaced our bathtub. Then came the creaking noises at the edge of the tub as well as in the middle of it. They were quick to blame the sub-flooring & said we had a 300lb tub which put pressure on the sub-flooring, their tub is much lighter that's why we are having the noises!!! Completely ridiculous ...300lb tub, really!!!
Guess it was too expensive to re-do the work to fix the noises. They wanted to rip open our kitchen roof to fix the bathroom floor ...ABSOLUTELY NOT!!!
They went as far as suggesting getting our homeowners insurance involved, told them "They weren't involved in the beginning of the job, so why involve them at the end because of your faulty workmanship?" They went as far as saying they have company lawyers that can stretch the case out which could be expensive for us!!!
PLEASE THINK TWICE BEFORE USING THIS COMPANY!!!
    IT WAS AN EXPEN$IVE EXPERIENCE!!!

Fabricate and install windows and front door.
    $20,000

We have been waiting over four months for screens. We were told that 200 other customers were also waiting for screens. Like that makes us feel better? This is open window season and yet we have to leave them closed! Furthermore, the vinyl miter joints are uneven and the door casing is shoddy with paint stains and has nails sticking out of it. Don’t trust them.

2nd review...1st review detailed fraudulent , unsafe practices

Now 90 days into a 3 day installation, the project manager is becoming more aggressive and disrespectful.

After being forced to hire a contactor to prepare a bay window for installation which FHIA removed and boarded up, 1 month later I am still struggling to get this company to complete the 3 day installation that started 2 months ago.

The Project Manager, has become non-responsive at multiple points during the process. After my initial reviews on multiple sites, I received a call from Ralph, the Operations Mgr., had 1 conversation with him before he failed to respond to my messages.

Since day 2 of the installation the installer, identified that 2 screens were missing. When he returned on day 3 and installed the next 3 screens he id not install any screens...I was repeatedly told by Andrew, for more than a month, the screens were a minor issue and would be taken care of...the 1 thing we actually agreed on. Still I listed them on the list of many items still needing to be done. Andrew repeatedly told me these "small issues" will be resolved AFTER they pass the final inspection which I questioned because some of the issues are structural in nature.

After failing the inspection, 10 days ago, as I expected, Andrew says he will call to set up a day to take care of my list and the many structural thing such as no pitch for water draining, missing screens, missing caulk and missing screws in all windows. Andrew called today and this horrible process took a turn for the worse, he abrasively stated that the 1st installer told him my mother stole the missing screens.

The more I rationalized with him, detailing the many reasons why this sounds preposterous, the more adamant he became. He insisted on focusing on screens that were missing which I asked about multiple times, for more than 2 months. He repeatedly stated that the installer told him HE SAW MY MOTHER TAKE SCREENS...the same installer that told me 2 were missing on day 2 and then said on day 3,,,he didn't have screens with him. The same installer that broke my lamp and tried to hide it until confronted, the same installer that he and Andrew said he would replace my lamp 2 months ago...
Andrew's shift of responsibility for the missing screens to my mother is appalling, shameful and very disrespectful.

More so, it is senseless in the grand scheme of things...screens are FREE for life of the windows and considering 5the extensiveness of the list of items that I have been emailing Andrew about and waiting on to be completed for more than 2 months...this list (excerpts to emails sent to Andrew) is in Addition to the INSPECTOR'S LIST for FAILING...
*17 sets of shutter tracks need to be removed.
*12 windows are not caulked and need interior sealing
*10 windows have huge chips around the perimeter of the window frame from the window being removed
*6 windows have a hairline cracks under window sill
*5 tiled window sills have chips
    *5 windows need screens
    *4 windows need caps
    * 1 kitchen window has lots of exposed areas...openings surrounding the frame.
The other issue is the gray concrete put over the red brick to seal the openings created during window installation...this is unsightly and not consistent with the notion of increasing the property value by having impact windows installed.

Additionally, we have the broken Tiffany lamp which was broken and supposed to be replaced by now.
The lamp cost was $200 but this is the last gift that my deceased grandfather gave me so, technically it can never be replaced.

With all of this undone, poorly done and months of lack of follow through, Andrew called and harassed me, insulted my mother whom also told him that she did not take the screens in question in some twisted effort to evade the real significant matters like poor construction, functional issues...even he was not able to open the 1 window he attempted to as he concluded the spring was broken and once again said, "no big deal...it will be taken care of". FHIA's management team seems to have a consistent pattern of this nonchalant response that is usually followed by a defensive attitude and a shift of responsibility for completing tasks in which FHIA were contracted to do.

    $20,000

Florida Home Improvement did not meet our expectations. Not only did they breach their contract but six months later they failed to complete the job! Sadly, I kicked them out of my property and the lawsuit came. I won the lawsuit! I do not recommend them to anyone! Please make sure that you hire reputable companies. There are many out there! Make sure you do your homework. Sadly, I did not!

Florida Home Improvement were great. And they cleaned up behind themselves. The warranty speaks for itself. Have not had the opportunity to use it as of yet.

    $3,500

Not sure I recognize the experience noted by the other reviewer.
In my case, we received a recommendation for Felmat from our neighbor - a civil engineer. Mr Dos Santos came out and measured up 5 windows and gave us a very fair price considering we wanted impact resistant windows.
He and his colleague came and installed the windows today - all 5 done in one go. The work is of an excellent standard and I found both to be extremely polite and well mannered. They cleaned up after themselves - besides the shiny new windows, I'd never know they had been here!

"The quality of the windows and doors installed were very good. I was able to get the work done at a reasonable price and the overall work done by Florida Home-Improvement was good. A few comments I would have are: The project rook longer than expected due to miscalculations, the door didn't work properly so there were a lot of coming and goings, lastly they had to come back multiple times."

I contracted Florida Home-Improvement Associates for a window job. Well, the best aspect about working with them is that they showed up on time and got the job done. I wish they could have finished installing the windows before it got dark, so that I could have inspected the work done on the windows. I like Florida Home-Improvement Associates as a contractor.

I didnt, the window company I hired who claims they dont use subcontractors hired this company to in
$$10,000.00 with now just about $20,000.00 in dagages
    1 day
Beware of this subcontractor who doesnt do a proper job causing

I was recently informed by a window company I hired that claims they do NOT use subcontractors that they in fact used this company as a subcontractor to install my windows in my home which I have been complaining about since they were installed as it was NOT done properly and according to many the damage was done to improperly installed windows costing thousands in damage to my home which is all being neglected by all to pay for. Go figure.
