    re roof

don't Walk EUN EUN RUN s fast as you can from this veteran owned company worst ever tell you one thing then do something else . My insurance told me to have th roflcopters inspected or my insurance would be cancelled there were many roofing company who offered to go through my insurance to fix it as they said I had significant win damage a young man named Matt came to the door from this company he seemed sincere and went to inspect the roof we never had a leak in the kitchen till after the inspection makes you wonder we sighed a contact no estimate at this time . we did ad things w wanted done like chimney removal ridge vent off ridge vents which we were willing to pay for they told us that the cost of the roof would be covered less the deductible we sent the check they knew our insurance ran out in July but kept putting of the roof installation till after that date luckily we filled the claim for the roof but our insurance went up significantly. This is a small 3 br bungalow the roof according to the insurance should be anywhere from 15k to 25k which was not the case we tried to work with jimmy rush ford who kept telling us about his security clearance and how he followed the building codes we wanted to help the veterans but this company only wants to gouge you they lie though their teeth. He became very incensed when the insurance rejected his quote of 39k+ there were a lot of terse moments between them and us with regard to the work . The insisted we take architectural singles and not the 3 tab we had the insurance said no but too late they were ordered we didn't know that they had also placed a lien on the house. They also insisted that we replace the sun tunnels(3) and the insurance again was refusing to cover this it was a lot of back and forth. the crew they sent spoke no English and to talk to them you had to use a phone translator which was not always accurate the didn't seem to know to remove the chimney an my husband got up on the roof to show them what to do using his own tools , They replaced the bad boards on the roof and wanted to charge 6,600 when the bill I saw for the wood was 1250. the sun tunnels it to 3 attempts to get that right I have ve=lux tunnels they brought some cheap looking plastic tunnel which wasn't even the correct angle for the roof the guy had to go to the warehouse 3 times to get the right ones the crew didn't know how to install them either my husband helped again as it is today I still get bugs in the cap because of the way they were installed .Lets talk about the codes another joke from this company there was an inspection that was supposed to be on site for 12 hours never saw him but got charged for it . Thi job was started in. Aug of 23 we signed the contract in May we didn't get the anything started till aug we didn't get the color of the shingles we ordered they were out lol it was one excuse after another. We tried to negotiate the price for the roof with jimmy was adamant that her won not negotiate the price and we owed them
21k+ the insurance was refusing to pay so now the bill in total is almost 43k+
so we hired Cohen law who intern sent an adjuster to help get this settled he was very good he told us that the so called codes that the tout are not up to standers the debris in. the attic should have been removed they left a mess up there but FRS gets around that by saying they are not responsible to clean up or for any damage to plants so much for code the other thing is the boards on the roof are not to code as they are too far apart not much I can do now this roof is ok but nothing special and not worth 42+k the they charged the insurance well long story short we finally settle this claim 1+ yr after the roof install it has caused a lot of working and sleepless nights we are seniors and I feel taken advantage of. In the end we wound up paying an additional 2100+ just to settle and get this over with they only took the lien off the house July 17 of this yr. Do not use this company under any circumstances no matter how nice they make it seem my neighbor has a 4br house and only paid 15k for her roof with more sq footage. RUN.RUN RUN AWAY FROM FRS if I could it would be minus 100 rating

New roof and exterior hardie board repairs plus any interior damage from a tornado

A Tornado hit my brand new home in Palm Coast FL. The next day while clearing debris and cutting up a tree that had fallen onto my house Tom Morrison with FRS out of Jacksonville walked up and introduced himself. He informed me that Florida roof specialist does this all the time. They would work with the insurance directly, had a lawyer from Cohen Law group that would handle the insurance not paying for the full repair cost of a house less than one year old. I mistakenly agreed. From there the lawyer contacted me said I would only be responsible for any fees if we settled but not to worry, I agreed. Went a while with no update then boom I get a call from the attorney saying my best day in court was the repair of all exterior damage and the interior was on me “interior quoted at 8K in repair” “deductible was 2K” so instead of being out 2K for a natural disaster it was the equivalent of 10K. To top it off they only repaired the roof, gutters, and fasha. What was explained to me on the phone was different than what happened with the contract. I never have had the experience of dealing with scam artist and crooks so now I still have holes in the side of my house that I also have to come out of pocket for. This has caused me a ton of financial strain and added a lot of stress to a young family who just got out of the military. Please for your own mental health do not use this company. I even followed up with Tom Morrison and there office by email, text, and phone call several times with no reply for days and weeks at a time. At the end of the day I decided to drop the checks off and come out of pocket for the repairs just to not deal with them anymore. Please find a more honest contractor team

    Roof
    $35,000

    Here is thier scam.
    Solicitation of neighborhoods.
Tell you that you have wind damage from a specific date.
Will not provide an estimate until work is done
Tell you that they specialize in handling the claims part.
File a claim with your insurance company.
Tell you that they will cover all costs except the deductible.
    Take your insurance check.
They eventually do your roof poorly.
Bill you for an average of $10000 more than your insurance will pay.
Put a lien on your home.
Refer you to a lawyer they are in cahoots with to supposedly sue your insurance company.
Lawyer charges 25% contingency Plus ridiculous fees for extra work. You end up losing the suit and now owe Florida Roofing and the attorney.
Fees and extras build up from both.
They are literally the reasons our insurance rates are like they are.
RUN THEM OFF YOUR PORCH. look at reviews. BBB IS WARNING YOU ALSO.

This company doesn't even deserve a one star rating! I'm in the process of hiring a new lawyer to sue this "Veteran Owned Company w/20 yrs experience"! I'm a disabled Veteran and signed on the dotted line, to help a fellow Veteran! Instead, I was shafted.

What they DON'T tell you is that they use MIGRANTS who have no experience and show a blatant disregard to property owners.

A few Shingles overhang and are NOT cut evenly w/the drip edge. This is especially so at the valleys. I would be surprised if this passes inspection.

A NEW gutter system was installed and the installer had mentioned that the shingle lines are crooked! (20 yrs. exp., eh?!)

I noticed that there was a small hole in my screen, from the removal of my gutters (front) that were forcebly removed.
(BEWARE that they insist that your gutters must be removed. DON'T BUY IT! BOTH of my immediate neighbors had different companies do a reroof and their gutters weren't removed.)

On the first day, the foreman on the job had asked in broken english, if I wanted to keep the front gutter and I said YES and to leave it aside, so that I can reinstall it. They ended up mangled in the dumpster.

They get you over a barrel, when you sign on their dotted line with a clause that states that you will be subjected to a 30% cancellation fee if you cancel. I attempted to do so earlier during the multiple tarp jobs, being that felt nails littered my yard. Also a used tarp was thrown on my roof and it shredded within two months. I had tarp tinsel everywhere. When they retarped again, they just covered most of the shredded tarp.
Somehow I figured from the lousy tarpings (4 total) that the shingling of my roof was going to be an abortion!...I WAS RIGHT!

These migrants have NO CLASS, nor could they care less and don't have a clue as to what they're doing!

While removing shingles, they went through a rotted piece of plywood and came through my bathroom ceiling! It was originally damaged (crack) and turned into a 10-12" hole! My tub had shingle, ply, and insulation in it! From there, things just got worst after I complained to the foreman!

There's way to much to list here. The conclusion is DO NOT HIRE THIS COMPANY! If you do, make sure your camera is in good working order and the battery is fully charged! TRUST ME...You're going to need to take pictures.
They even drank beer on my roof and were stupid enough to toss the empty bottles in the dumpster! I took pictures of that too!!!
I am scheduled to speak to attorneys and I do plan on reporting this company to State officials for possible illegal migrant use.

    Roofing

ABSOLUTE WORST!!! We had our roof replaced after Ian, but months and months after. When it came time, of course they did not get the color we chose, oh no, that color you picked is going to be an up-charge now. They already had our money and now they wanted more. We picked a basic shingle now, I'm sure not the premium we were sold. Now the roof has been installed and they need more money, but will not explain to the insurance exactly what it is for. The insurance company won't budge, the "roofing company" will not budge, now we have a lien on our home. They do have emails to reach anyone, but fire off emails, but no return address. Slam the door if they knock, but by then they would have probably changed their name again.

    new roof

This Roof company is from Orlando Fl. They came to my park and said I needed a new roof. My insurance company gave me a check of $2385.43, This was in March. Never heard from them except to sign more papers. I am 97 and feel taken advantage of. I emailed and called. They said next month or insurance co always a excuse. I asked for check back they said 3x in mail. Nothing. They are crooks and bad co Not honest at all.

    roof repairs

Florida Roof Specialist, Inc. was the worst company I had ever worked with. They lied right from the start. They caused more damage to my roof by having someone without our permission go up and put over 500 nail hole in my roof on two small tarps. They then told me not to worry about it they would fix where they damaged without any cost to me. Liars. They also charged me for two pieces of plywood that I supplied. They had TWO kids that were going to get on my roof and I told them I didn't want them up there. One of the roofers took them home. They can't be trusted. They put a lien on my property also. Beware of this company. If you want trouble and lies, this company is for you. Otherwise stay away.

BEWARE of this company! Showed up at my door offering a free inspection/quote. Went on my roof banging away. When I went out to see, he was already off the roof. He was deliberately putting impact marks and pulling up shingles. He became angry when I stated I did not want to sue my insurance company if they did not cover "storm" damage. Sure enough, first mild thunderstorm to come through after blew four loose shingles off of my roof. Maybe you can come back and repair the damage YOU did to my roof?

    Roof and interior

Excellent company! They truly care about their customers and they make sure the jobs well done. Their crew was excellent. They cleaned up the yard great and the office people were always communicating with us. The problem it bothers me about these bad reviews these are people that were probably very upset that things didn’t go their way because the company is amazing! I would recommend them to anybody that wants to get the roof done. The difference between them in the insurance companies are the insurance companies are going to do everything they can not to pay your bill when this company wants to make sure you get paid properly for everything

Worst experience of my life! Their work was awful. I had to pay a contractor to fix the trim, they got tar all over my walls and driveway, I collected over 100 nails from my yard, and they charged me 2000 over the agreed price for a sloppy repair to the chimney. DONT HIRE THIS COMPANY!

    Replace roofing
    $36,000

Terrible experience using this company. If you choose to use their services be sure to get a good lawyer before you sign anything. Don’t believe a word that comes out of your mouths. My wife and I were lied to more than one time. When their estimate came out to be much higher than my insurance estimate I question them about this. The first time was a phone call with Jimmy Rushford who is the district supervisor in my area. He told me not to be concerned about anything. He said this happens all the time and they will work it out. He said they have a team of lawyers to make sure things are done properly and paid for correctly with the insurance company. Jimmy told me don’t worry about a thing just be sure you have your deductible ready and they will take care of the rest. One week after I paid my deductible I got the notice that they had placed a lien on my property for $9500. They never negotiated with the insurance company and expect me to pay the difference. Be very careful if you choose to use them. I would highly recommend find some one else to do the job.
