    Worst experience ever. Buyer beware. Do not recommend.

    FW&D took my $13K deposit in March 2021. By January 2022 no progress was made (not only no windows or doors ordered, but not even a finished permit application). Complete lack of communication or response of any kind, and the owner refused a refund.

    Fought and won most of the refund back with a chargeback through my credit card (highly recommend paying by credit if you do use them for this very reason), and just awarded the rest in October 2022 after taking to small claims court (including legal fees).

    Read the one-star reviews carefully (I rarely leave one-star reviews). There is even a facebook group to assist those scammed named "Florida Window and Door Fraud Alert".

    I hired a new company in August 2022 and they are half through a full house window/door install and will be finished next week. This was 3-4 months from initial contract to install completion vs. FLW&D 11 months of not even getting a permit, and another 10 months fighting for a refund.

    Buyer beware for Florida Window and Door and also note that this is no longer their name. They are "Northfield Capital Corporation", but still doing business as Florida Window and Door.

    My advice is to run! Do not do business with this company! I would give them zero stars if I could.

    First, they promised a 4 month wait time. But they took months longer to install than was promised (we waited 7 months total). And I had to constantly call and email them to finally get the install scheduled.

    Once they came to do the install, no one on their crew could speak English so we couldn’t ask questions or explain things we wanted to have fixed.

    They broke all of our exterior window trim, so it couldn’t be reused (and their replacement trim work was horrible, I’ll get to this later).

    They took no care for protecting our home and our belongings from the mess they made. It was the biggest construction mess I’ve ever seen. Literally everything was filthy. All it would have taken was then to properly tape off and place plastic over the gaping holes they made when replacing the windows.

    The crew installed the windows and doors with a ton of scratches and did not cover any of the screw holes in the installed doors, so the work is unfinished.

    The trim, both inside and outside, looks like it was done by a child. There are nails sticking out everywhere. Where they actually filled holes, they put huge globs of silicone, which cannot be sanded or painted and is now just big globs of rubber on our trim.

    There is a ton of excess silicone around the frames which also can’t be painted or sanded. And they broke a ton of our expensive hardy board siding. We paid thousands of dollars to have the trim and hardy board repaired.

    I’ve called them countless numbers of times, emailed them, spoken to the sales guys Dennis, the project manager Sonia, and the foreman (forget his name, but he was French I believe). And no one has done a thing to compete the work or make things right.

    All we wanted was an upgrade on our windows. But this has been a terrible experience for us, with absolutely zero concern by this company to make things right by simply competing the job properly.

    This firm has not a care for its customers and refuses to discuss their concerns. I was advised at the time of the sale it would take 4 months until install, it took 8 months, all the while they're holding 50% of the costs. They required this amount to be paid at the time of the sale. Best advice is to find another reputable contractor that cares about their customers, these are bad people!!

    HURRICANE IMPACT WINDOWS AND DOORS

    IM ONLY GIVING ONE STAR AS I CANT GIVE THEM MINUS 5. I DONT KNOW WHERE TO BEGIN, THE ENTIRE PROCESS WAS TERRIBLE. NEVER RETURN PHONE CALLS, NO COMMUNICATION, THEY HAD TROUBLE GETTING PERMIT APPROVED, AND THEY HAVE DAMAGED MY HOME SO BAD THAT YGRENE PULLED THEIR FUNDING IN MID WIRE. THANK GOD. THEY RIPPED AND CUT UP MY VINYL, EXPOSED WOOD AND SUBWALL AND JUST LEFT IT, THEN THEY WANT TO SEND THE SAME SHADY CHARACTERS THAT DESTROYED MY HOME. MY WINDOWS DONT FIT, THERE IS UP TO 3 INCHES OF CAULKING ON SOME WINDOWS, SOME ARE IN CROOKED, ONE DOESNT EVEN CLOSE ALL THE WAY. THESE ARE HURRICANE IMPACT WINDOWS AND AS MUCH AS I WAS PAYING THERES NO WAY THEY SHOULD HAVE LEFT ME WITH SUCH A MESS. GEESH WHAT A LESSON I HAVE LEARNED. IM JUST BLESSED TO HAVE YGRENE ON MY SIDE. WE WILL SEE WHAT HAPPENS FROM HERE. WILL UPDATE WHETHER THEY DID THE RIGHT THING AS A COMPANY OR NOT.....

    Do yourself a favor and do not buy from this company ordered our door in April 2021 it is now January 2022 no door.They were supposed to come today January 22 for installation finally but at 8:30 am they called and 1 section of the door did not come from the manufacturer nothing but aggravation,totally incompetent and they refuse to let us out of the contact I say Florida window and door is in breach of the Contract as they told us the door would be in by September Shame on you Florida window and door (tom conley)

    Window Installation

    The windows are fine, but the installation was sloppy at best. The work is unfinished and to make matters worse the installer convinced the Miami-Dade inspector to pass it with a promise to send pictures of the finished work! (Is that even legal?) After numerous calls it is now December and the work is yet to be totally finished, yet we are legally obligated to start payments! If I had it to do over again, I would not choose Florida Window and Door.

    The service is horrible . I ordered my windows December 2020. Is July 2021 and they keep giving excuses . Do not buy from this company . It’s scam . Nassiff Deenah doesn’t even reply to my texts or call . They stated not having the products from the manufacture company . And they also don’t give money back . SCAM!!!

    Verified Hire

    I would not be able to recommend Florida Window due to problems we had with the installation. One of the windows leaked and it took quite a while to get them to fix it even though it was under warranty. Had to call the owner to get satisfaction and it caused my wood to delaminate below the window sill that was leaking.
