I had a terrible experience with this builder. They over promise and underdeliver. Our house was delayed 345 days + after proposed completion date. House failed multiple city inspections resulting in redos!
They appear to underbid on cost estimates and attempt to extort additional funds at Closing without any prior notice. Title companies are unable to close if there is a claim regardless of whether it is substantiated.
All requests for documentation to substantiate claims and evidence of notices of cost variances were denied.
Do your due diligence before contracting with this builder. Make an informed decision.

Permits
- Building permit records show that Flyphouse has worked on 6 permitted projects.
These are the facts. Please draw your own conclusions. Builder: Origin Homes, Inc. 8330 LBJ Freeway #140, Dallas TX 75243 has not performed on Texas Association of Builders (TAB) Fixed Rate contract executed March 5, 2019 and 2 Change Orders. On Sept. 28, 2020 I sent Certified 15 Day Written Notice to builder as to default on the contract. On that date no progress had been made toward completion since July 28, 2020.
After sending said Notice, Origin Homes, Inc. completed most of the outstanding items, however as of today has still not installed “Sprinklers & Landscape - $9,550, Full coverage with St. Augustine Grass, Create plant beds in front of house, plant owners plant material in landscape mix, cover with dark brown mulch” which is exact language on Change Order #2 March 12, 2020 which I paid for in ADVANCE on Feb. 20, 2020.
Origin Homes, Inc. has yet to provide me with a copy of the owner’s Third Party Warranty per paragraph 12.B. of the contract NOR a copy of the signed/notarized FINAL BILLS PAID AFFIDAVIT as required by Texas Property Code § 53.259. Of course I want to receive the Final Bills Paid Affidavit only AFTER installation of sprinkler system and lawn as per Change Order #2.
Origin Homes, Inc. agrees they have been paid in full for work not completed. Origin Homes, Inc. agrees they are obligated to install the sprinkler system, sod, & beds. We have had countless discussions as to reasons for delay. Origin Homes, Inc. has made countless excuses. The owner/builder/ceo now no longer responds to my phone calls and texts.
I filed a complaint with the Better Business Bureau on June 17, 2021. Origin Homes, Inc. never responded to the BBB regarding the complaint. You can look it up on the BBB website as well as another complaint listed there.
It has been over 18 months now since I paid for this work in ADVANCE. To this date Origin Homes, Inc remains in default, have not completed the work, nor refunded my money, nor provided the required FINAL BILLS PAID AFFIDAVIT.
I will be filing a complaint with the Texas Attorney General's office as well.
