FMZ is not a new contractor, Frank Zervos the owner, has been in the new construction business for over 10 years. I contracted with FMZ back in 2006 and had a 2600 sq. ft. custom home built from my own plans which I personally drew up myself. Mr. Zervos was so accommodating and went out of his way to construct what I wanted. The construction materials were of the highest grade (i.e. 2' x 6' construction trusses not the 2' x 4's that Heartland Homes use). The quality of the work was superb. I have had a couple of problems since the construction was finished but it was not the fault of the builder but of "mother nature". The bad snow and ice storm we had in 2008 caused some ice build up and leaks in my gargage and dining room. I mentioned this to Mr. Zervos and he came back and repaired the damage a couple of years after my home was completed. My only complaint that I had was the length of time it took to complete the construction. It took almost a year to get completed, however, in fairness to Mr. Zervos, I told him "I was in no hurry". First lesson, never tell a contractor that you are in no hurry.
