Make sure you Google his name and read the michigan.gov file that has ruled against him as a contractor. He has never paid his fines. He should not be working as a contractor. Never hire him in any capacity in the Building Trades even though he will charm the pants off of you. He did not properly support an addition on my house which has resulted in cracking floor tiles and walls. He personally tiled my master bathroom but never wiped off the grout which resulted in being unable to walk on the floor. He did come back and break out the tiles but I had to buy new ones. This job was also poorly done with regards to the grout. He never finished my roof. I had to hire other contractors to finish the jobs that he was supposed to do. He did take my money, however. Don't hire him. He still owes me over $13,000 and the State over $10,000.
