We contracted with Forest Hill Development LLC in early Aug '16 to build a house for my wife and I in Oxford, MS. We signed the contract to have Floor Plan 102 built on Lot 114 on Fern Cove in Oxford, MS. It took the builder several months to start construction with a proposed settlement date of 15 Feb '17. We arrived in Oxford, MS, on 8 Feb '17 and drove by to see the house. It took my wife and I less than 5 minutes to discover the builders had built the wrong house. In other words, they used the wrong floor plan. When asked which floor plan the builders followed, their agent couldn't tell us and admitted "we built the wrong house." We tried to settle the matter but the builders took a firm position and wouldn't budge. As a result, we have no house to move into on 21 Feb '17, the actual date of closing finally agreed upon and now we're stuck living in a local hotel with our furniture or household goods due to arrive and be delivered on 22 Feb '17. I know this sounds stranger than fiction, but it's true. As a result of this experience, I couldn't recommend Forest Hill Development LLC to build a house for my dog, assuming I had one. They stink!!!
