By Dwight D.August 15, 2016Pour new driveway and sidewalks around our new home$8,0002 days
We hired Barry Fosmo (Fosmo Concrete) to pour our driveway and sidewalk's around our new home a little over a year ago and we are now having to tear it out and have a reputable company come in and do it the way it should have been done. This company also told us that they have gotten many jobs over the years repairing and redoing work that Barry Fosmo and his crew did. I wish someone would have taken the time to write a complaint so we would not have to be going through all this expense and mess. The new company said that Barry did not put enough rebar in (there were only a few pieces and it was laying on the ground and not suspended with cross bars. The rebar was not hammered into the foundation like it should have been so the cement settled and pulled away from the house which pulled and broke the siding on the house. They did not slope it properly away from the foundation which caused water to leak into our basement and cause damage. In fact, in the front of the house, they only needed a crowbar to break up the cement around the house because it was only a few inches thick. They also poured the cement on a very hot day and the cement dried too fast before it could be brushed properly. This caused it to be too smooth and slippery when it gets wet. There are now cracks all over our driveway as well. In my opinion, this company should not be in business and be allowed to do this to anyone else.

Barry and his crew are very professional and personable. He met with me on numerous occasions prior to starting. He gave me a quote that was lower than the next couple of guys (20-30% off). We drew up a contract that we were both comfortable with, he advised me on extras that I decided were worth it and included into the final price prior to construction beginning. From prep to completion was 4 days. I would definitely have him do any future concrete work for me.
