    Backyard regrading & retaining wall & stone patio

    I just wanted to share my experience with Four Seasons Design Build, particularly regarding a project they completed for me back in 2017. They installed a retaining wall on my property, but unfortunately, things didn't turn out as expected - I have a falling retaining wall!
    Not long after the project was completed, I started noticing cracks in the retaining wall. I reached out to Ken Hewitt, the owner, in the summer of 2020 to address the issue. He brushed it off, saying they were just minor settlement cracks and promised to patch them up. However, despite multiple attempts to get him to follow through, he never showed up and eventually stopped responding to my calls altogether.
    Fast forward to now, and the cracks have only gotten worse. I had a structural engineer take a look, and it turns out the wall was installed incorrectly, leading to serious structural issues. Even the weep holes meant for drainage weren't working properly.
    What's really frustrating is that Ken Hewitt seems to be avoiding any responsibility. Despite being under warranty, he's dodging calls and downplaying the severity of the issues, effectively running down the clock until the warranty expires.
    It's disappointing to see that he's still taking on new projects, knowing full well there are unresolved issues with existing clients. My experience with Four Seasons Design Build has been nothing short of a headache – poor communication, shoddy workmanship, and a complete lack of accountability. After signing the contract with Ken, he barely showed up on the site. Instead, there were two-three Spanish-speaking crews working on the site, most of whom didn't even speak or understand English. It felt like a communication nightmare. Ken only seemed to show up when it was time to collect payment.
    I'm writing this review as a warning to others considering hiring them. Despite any positive reviews you might find online, my experience shows that you need to be extra cautious. Don't be fooled by the good reviews – it's clear that Ken Hewitt's priority isn't delivering quality work or satisfying his customers.
    Overall, I wouldn't recommend Four Seasons Design Build to anyone. Save yourself the hassle and look elsewhere for your construction needs.
