We are very happy with the paving of our driveway by Franco's Paving. The crew arrived when they said they would, they worked hard, and with attention to detail.
We were skeptical at first because some sites have negative reviews, but there are also many positive ones. The owner, Frank Gilk worked with us to plan what we wanted to our satisfaction. We are glad we put aside our doubts and went ahead with the project because it was done well, and we are pleased with our beautiful driveway.

Unfortunately, my wife and I hired Franco Paving to do major paving work on our property. On the first day we met, Frank Gilk, the owner, asked for $20,000 for the pavers, which we gave to him. And after that, he never returned to do the job, or deliver the pavers or return our money. My wife and I had to file a lawsuit against him, which cost us even more money. Everything I'm warning you about is well documented with the New Jersey State courts. Beware - Mr. Gilk is a very smooth talker!

they were hired to do my driveway and sidewalk on sept3 all they did was take my money and run it is now mid November and the job still not done in my opinion if you hire them they will rip you off have to take to court to get my money back

Mr. Gilk applied repeatedly re-heated asphalt left over from another job. This covered about one fourth of our driveway. He then paused several hours while he procured fresh asphalt to complete our job. The initial application is visibly more coarse, lighter in color and mixed with dirt, while the balance of the driveway is a smooth, uniform dark black. Mr. Gilk assured me the dirty section would wash out to match the rest of the driveway, but it has not done so in over seven weeks. Asphalt was also negligently applied, since my garage now floods every time it rains. Mr. Gilk has repeatedly promised to make it right, but, after weeks of phone tag, I now intend to sue.

He talks a good line but he did not complete my Job.
He left a mess in the public street that everyone has commented on.
I had two other jobs for him but referred them away from him.
DO NOT USE THIS GUY HE DOES NOT FINISH YOUR JOB!!!

Sloppy work redoing our association's tennis court. Started in September, still not complete. Left a mess of debris through the Winter and still hasn't finished the work, although they have been paid. If you want a job started, they are your man, but if you want it completed they aren't. Unreliable..... do not use them!

Franco paved my driveway in late September 2018. I delayed writing this review because I wanted to see how his work help up over the winter. Overall, I am extremely pleased with the quality of his work. He honored the price quote he gave me for the work even though he had underestimated the width of the driveway. He and his crew showed upon time. Frank was available daily to answer my questions and to make sure his crew was doing the work properly. Finally he gave me a quote to seal the driveway 12 months from when it was paved and agreed to guarantee his work providing it is sealed and maintained in accordance with the contract. I liked working with Frank and am pleased with the wok he performed.

Total disappointment. The work was sloppy. The edges of the driveway are not smooth. We get huge puddles in the middle of the driveway since it was paved.

The worst part is that our fence is ruined. Franco has promised 10 different times to come back to fix the fence and the puddles. Never shows up and just continues to waste our time!

Not recommended at all!

Frank and his crew have been a joy to watch and admire how hard they work. They where awfully efficient at there trade. On top of all that they where very pleasant and cleaned everything back up when finished. I highly recommend to use this company .

After three estimates I was introduced to Frank. The thing that impressed me the most was his ability to see what we needed and give us the best possible cost effective solution and we were not disappointed! He delivered 100% . We are very happy with the timely efficient professional job that he did for us and we would highly recommend him to any of our friends! I also like the fact that it comes with a 10 year guarantee..

We hired the company to do our asphalt driveway with Belgian blocks, and our front walkway with bricks. The jobs were done on time, and we were very pleased with the results. They also did a nice and satisfactory job with the cleanup after that jobs. We would highly recommend them.

This Company is a HORRIBLE. Frank Gilk gave a prompt estimate. Called every day to get the job to seal our driveway. Sent somebody else to do the job. When my wife asked why there was tar all over our Belgium block, the woman said "oh yeah, the gun slipped". Frank said he would come out right away and fix it. That was a month ago. He has never shown up and he stopped returning phone calls. DO NOT EVER use this company.

My driveway needed repaving and two areas needed repair. Frank gave me a written estimate along with his liability insurance certificate and license information. He and his crew performed the work according to the signed contract. The work was completed on time, excellent quality and very professional. I would recommend them.

I would highly recommend Frank's asphalt driveway because he and his team did an excellent job and also put in a drainage plan for us so that water will no longer set in one area of the driveway like it had been doing for years! Frank, and Mark, the brother, kept a watch on workers and project! The crew was polite, friendly and worked tirelessly! We are pleased with this quality of work! Left everything cleaned up and will, hopefully, return to back hoe and gravel (that he's bringing) to cover the drainage pipe!

I had my driveway repaved & was very satisfied with the job that Frank and his crew did. I will definitely recommend him again.

Frank, his partner Mark (also somehow associated with a man named Al too) did my driveway back in March 2016. Within days of being able to drive on it, it started to fail. Frank admitted it was not done right. Both he and Mark promised to get it fixed. By October 2016 nothing had happened and I wound up having to sue Frank.

As of May 2017, Frank has a warrant out for his arrest. Do not do business with this man and his associates.

AWFUL, AWFUL, AWFUL. Beware of this guy. Frank Gilk, owner of Francos Asphalt, ripped me off of $35,816 to pave a drive and redo a retaining wall -- the job was never completed. He used white cement and grey cement -- a bad combination. He doesn't supervise. He just drops off his workers and goes out looking for other, not finishing sealing the driveway as promised.

This company is very terrible. I agree with other reviews as well. Frank will be very responsive and nice person till he signed the contract. Once work started they start ignoring the customer and making excuses. We hire them to redo the driveways and concrete work on driveway. They took $2,000 which is more than 50% of contract value from us in advance. After completing 15% of work, these guys disappear and start making weird excuses. We are going to file a claim against them in district court and will highly recommend not to give them any business. Please avoid them at any cost.

I had frank and his company do my driveway and retaining wall approximately 6 months ago. I live in bridgewater, nj and I have a older home. My driveway and retaining wall was in the poorest condition possible. Frank gave me 3 different designs for the wall from the most minimal to the most extravagant. His crew executed the design perfectly. Me and my husband could not be most satisfied.

Frank Gilk and his company came and did my parking lot about 6 months ago.. They just came back for the annual seal coating and the job is absolutely perfect .. My customers and i could not be happier .. I would definitely use them again.

We hired him to work on our driveway and backyard patio. He never finished them and even after several attempts to contact him he never responds. He never came back to seal our driveway when he promised to come back after 2 weeks. Also our backyard is in a mess since he left the unused sands and stones. The patio wasn't sealed so whenever it rains the sands underneath are flushed out to the top and thus made the paver stones uneven and shakes when you step on it. It's more than 6 weeks now and he hasn't returned to finish the project.

Franco also do not keep his words. If you decide to contract his company make sure that he have everything written in a contract with complete details of work and materials to done and used. Also provide completion date and make sure to put in the contract that payment only at completion of the project.
