I hired Tam Yamisha of Freehold Contractors to finish my basement, including installing a bathroom. Work began in November 2018 and I was told it would take 7-10 weeks. It is now April 2019 and my job is still not complete. Tam disappeared about 2 months into the job and his workers complained they couldn't reach him and they have not yet been paid. Some of the work has been left undone by his workers because of this reason. When I finally was able to get in touch with him I was given a myriad of excuses of a medical nature, none of which turned out true. Tam finally admitted to using the money (in the tens of thousands) I had provided him for a flip he was doing on another house which is why my job was on hold. After telling him that his irresponsibility was not my problem I was told "have patience, I'm a man of my word I will deliver but I don't work well with deadlines". Other responses included "It's not easy when I have too many job sites at once". When one of his workers agreed to begin to complete the job we noticed some parts, that I had already paid for, were missing. When I questioned Tam his response was "xxx is a smart guy, he will figure it out. Tell him to Google it thats how I learnt all my knowledge" Not very reassuring. When I totaled the money he owed me based on additional monies I paid out to other people his response was "I'm broke, beaten down and getting shit from too many angles. I left several people in charge so leave me out. Whatever I owe you I can't get it to you until I get my ducks in a row" Again this isn't my problem and his facebook showed he had money to go to a fight in LA. I gave him plenty of time to pay me what he owes me. I told him I will have to review him to let others know of his unprofessionalism and unreliability. He told me "do you bro"....well "bro" here you go...
