I got a recommendation from a friend to use Fresh Start and had one of the worst experiences one could have with a contractor. We paid a very high price for this "all in one" firm and I would hope that no one else make the same mistake of hiring them. After not filing permit paperwork on time forcing us to delay our project for me than a year, they proceeded to use 'in house' carpenters, plasterers and painters whose work was terribly poor. Terribly crooked (irreparable) skylight cutting, plaster work that is falling apart and has had to be redone multiple times and baseboards that dont even begin to match as well as countless other basic issues were all a result of this companies incompetence and lack of accountability. Our lead designer and project manager both left the company during our 4 month project (tells you a lot about the company) and not only were we not informed of these departures but they billed us for the errors resulting from them. We also had cameras in our home to watch the 'work' being done while we were away and saw that every subcontractor worked at most a 3 hour (10am-1pm) workday. In addition to the unchangeable errors that they made the company insists on using their own subcontractors to remedy the many errors despite their proven poor track record of work. Please dont make the mistake of hiring them that we did.
