In April 2015, Daniel Fry gave us a great estimate for driveway repair services and asked for a deposit. We were still getting estimates, and Daniel Fry said he would match any other estimate. We reluctantly gave him a deposit check that he said he would not actually deposit until the date of our service. He deposited it the same day.
Other contractors informed us that Fry Asphalt scams customers by requesting deposits and then does not return to do the work. We researched his business and discovered:
1. Fry Asphalt is not actively licensed in Pennsylvania
2. Fry Asphalt claims to be accredited by the BBB, but he is not. The BBB clearly states that this business has never been accredited and, in fact, the BBB has claims against him.We immediately called Daniel and requested a refund. After several days of putting us off, he said that he would not refund us. We have reached out the BBB, PA Attorney General, and filed a civil suit against this company. Fry no longer answers our emails, phone calls, and is completely evasive.
Beware - do not contact Fry Asphalt EVER.

Hired Fry Asphalt to install a drain in my driveway, he came by and picked up the deposit check, made 2 cuts across my driveway and left. Made numerous calls and sent many, many emails asking when will the job be completed. Unfortunately after many excuses and 3 no shows after telling us that he will be there first thing in the morning, he now doesn't answer his calls or emails..........I started researching reviews on his business and we are finding out that we aren't the first that he has done this to. Beware and truly would not recommend, do your research before hiring. It seems like the only jobs they complete are seal coating jobs, check the reviews........
