    Mr. Broney contracted to build a covered porch in Watauga, TX, in September, 2012. The project was finished on 12/28/12 and it rained on 12/29/12, and the roof leaked very badly, causing sheetrock damage and mold on the plywood subfloor. Mr. Broney would not come out for the next four months to repair the roof. In January, 2013, two estimates were obtained from roofers, who both said the wrong type roof (3-tab shingles) instead of a roll-type roofing system (for low-slope roofs) was installed in a shoddy manner. Roof decking was not all supported with 2" x 6" boards, which sagged and held water when it rained, which then leaked into the finished room and damaged sheetrock and caused mold on the plywood subfloor. A roofing contractor was obtained who replaced the incorrect roof, and suit was filed against Mr. Broney in Small Claims court to obtain reimbursement.
