First of all, their approach was very ill-timed; we run a busy medical practice, and they showed up in the middle of patient hours. They said they were finishing up a big job nearby, and they would have left over asphalt that they could use on our parking lot, to maybe do a small section to try to earn our business. My husband was hesitant at first, but he was told it should only be around $2000.00. He was also hesitant because we had patients coming and going, but they assured us that the asphalt could be driven on right away. After he verbally agreed to let them do a small section, they immediately showed up with a lot of equipment and started working. By the time my husband could get outside to see what was going on, almost the whole parking lot was done, except for a strip down the middle. When he expressed frustration that they weren't supposed to do the whole parking lot today, he was told that they could clean up and just charge him for what they did, to the tune of $8000.00. Then the father spoke up and said they could finish the last strip and charge $9000.00 - MORE THAN QUADRUPLE the original job & price quoted! THIS IS A PRIME EXAMPLE OF BAIT AND SWITCH. They should have only done the smaller job that my husband agreed to, and if they had extra asphalt, they should have gotten PERMISSION to extend the job. Also, they were dishonest when they said that cars could drive on it immediately, because the asphalt was sticking to car tires and getting pulled up, so we had to close off our parking lot and make our patients park in someone else's lot. Overall, this experience was TERRIBLE and I will never recommend this company to anyone.
