  This review is help you, the potential customer of Garrett Hinden, to better understand how social media sites work and how they can be abused by those irresponsible people who need to get a life. Firstly, Mike from Powhatan, really, who would have an $800 job that could possibly take 19 days to complete. Now the no name who stated a 5 call no show and did not complete the scope of work. If you eventually hired someone after they stiffed 5 times (no show) and they did not finish the scope of work, wow you should be ashamed of yourself. Make sure the reviews you read pass the common sense rule. Paul from Powhatan should be ashamed of himself. Hurtful speech will find you down the road. Be careful what you say. Mike from Midlo is the only really person so far. Garrett did perform a cash project for Mike to level a pool site and place a predetermined amount of sand. Mike was cheap and did not have enough sand and was not interested in prepping the ground properly. Mike got what he paid for, an operator and machine to rough up a pool site, place the sand, level the sand and that is it. Mike whined to Garrett about the inadequate sand and site size which Garrett again explained they were the result of his poor decisions. I just love how people try to blame others for their own bad decisions in life. Mike needs to watch his back as he will reap what he sows and the power of the tongue "cuts" both ways. We need to use sites like this responsibly to help others with the facts, not rumors or false and misleading information. Buildzoom.com should be preventing such false information through an adequate checks and balance information verification system but since they don't, please simply ask any contractor for contact information of the last five clients they have worked for and you will most likely get the facts and some truth. As a potential client, both Garrett and myself, would rather have educated clients than those who would believe what they read on the internet without verification. Think of how you seek information in your health care choices, small and large purchases, etc. Gather information, assess the information and then act responsibly.

  Well, the above reviews are quite interesting. Seeing how I have had Garrett do numerous projects, handle thousands of dollars worth of work, none of what has been posted is accurate. Social media sites can be a responsible tool if used properly but many people will simply vent or post lies. I own a contracting company with extremely high ratings in the social media world. I too have a few "off" reviews but can be easily explained with the facts. Email traffic, written documents, etc. are great tools to expose those who wish to taint your name. So just to show you that anyone can submit a review even if no work has been performed, I will submit another review after this one that will be false concerning the scope of work but very accurate concerning his character. You need to seek recent work referrals in order to get to know your contractor, not read bull!@#% from marginal sites gathering public information to create profiles just so they look "busy" and seek advertising dollars. Be smart, do your homework using trusted sites and client referrals, then decide.

  This guy is a fraud. I had him do some work for me and he did not keep his word. We discussed some alternatives methods for landscaping he agreed to. When I went to check his work he said dont worry any problems I will come back and fix it. He never did nor would he return my phone calls. I had to have my wife call him and threaten him. He promised to come out to the site and do an evaluation. Well guess what, he never came out. Find another contractor.
