I hired these people in early 2019 to fix two leaks in a property in S. Augustine. The project turned into a nightmare of carelessness and incompetence. They talked me into replacing an entire section of flat roof over the house; this did not fix the leaks. They came back, after my complaints, four or five times, each time FAILING to eliminate the leaks (this was after they had gotten full and timely payment for the job.). Finally, in frustration, I hired an independent inspector who came back with a very negative review of their work. Because the house was uninhabitable, and because guests were arriving imminently, I decided to hire someone else to do the repairs and then try collect from Gator City Roofing. In one day the leaks were fixed by my new contractor (who was horrified by the sloppy nature of the previous work), and there is no problem. Incidentally, I have full documentation of all this, including a string of texts in my iPhone, pictures, and the testimony of my NEW roofer.
I then sent Gator City a letter, all evidence included, requesting a refund for the extra expense I had to sustain to get the problem fixed. The company owner called me back and, adducing a series of meaningless technicalities, refused to make payment. Significantly, he did not dispute my allegations of sloppiness and incompetence on his part, but based his refusal on nonsensical procedural grounds. Frankly, I was surprised that a seemingly reputable company would risk negative review and possible legal action for such a measly sum as I was asking, but there it is. Perhaps they are the right company if you have a mega project that really grabs their attention, but for smaller jobs they will always send you their C team and then even fail to supervise them properly.

I had solicited a roofing service from Angi, I had three estimates on reviewing the estimates I went with Gator City Roofing and Construction. The salesman Phillip demonstrated that his company will make the room leakproof. I accepted his price for $1,500.00 and paid him on completion of the job.
On the second day within the warranty of the job I called Phillip and told him the room is still leaking much worst than before, he came to job site a couple of days later he looked around and punch two holes in the job and said water had seeped into his work, and promised to come back with an experienced roofer to rectify the problem. After not seeing the company coming to solve the problem I called Phillip who produced another estimate for $3,400.00 to tear up my house roof and chimney. I told him to cancel any further project on my roof, he had earlier said that he will deduct the cost of his materials and refund my money I told him I would accept the refund it is over one month still waiting on refund.
I had two professional roofers to inspect the job and they both offered a fix which I feel will solve the leaking. Their price was feasible, neither of them spoke about touching my house roof or chimney. I will NEVER recommend this roofing company.
