Our experience with Griffin Pools was great. We knew building in the summertime would mean that they were busy, but the construction ran very smoothly and they were finished with our pool by the 10th week. Right on time. We love swimming in our new pool. I don't know what the other reviewer meant about Andy Hernan, but he was super to work with. We would definitely recommend Griffin Pools to everyone.

    Pool builder

At the beginning of this year, we start to shop for a new swimming pool to be built at our home. After few estimators, we decide Griffin Pools and Spas in Lakeland Fl. By the way more expensive that the others by 3 or 4 k.
The reason why we decide them over the rest is because the way they look, nice showroom, and Andy Herman (owner) personally took care us and gave us a feeling of confidence, a real gentleman, making us very secure in what we want.
Two weeks after we signed the contract, ground break start and everything went very smooth for that week. Then everything stopped for 15 days that we don't saw even one person here.
Called Roger, the supervisor and ask about it and his answer was: " we are not only doing your pool... we have 30 more to do". That was the first slap on my face.
Then they came to pour the concrete slab, some of the lines were not straight and we told them about, while concrete was fresh and able to corrected with no problems. Guess what, they never fixed, and after few complaining call to the owner, he told me " How many concrete floor have you been doing ?
Slap on the face number two...
Any person with common sense know that you can work with wet concrete and make it straight a lot easy than what they did... come back 2 times to patch and re- cut to make it look good.
They fail several inspections because my fault!
This is the accusations that the owner made over the phone to me... stating that I was interfering with the county inspectors. My question is this. How many peoples can tell inspectors what to do or what not? They pass inspections when jobs are done by code.
If they dig a footer for the slab ready for concrete and the heavy rain fill the footer with sand, it's not my fault.
I want to mention that we paid them every money drawn on time until the very last 1,000.00 to complete a 33,000.00 pool job, just because he want us to pay the last 1k before passing final inspection.
Andy's emotions go over job professionalism and compliment of the contract.
My personal feeling is like when you go to a car dealership. Everything is great until you place your butt in the driver seat and go away. Unfortunately, some people are like that and someway along they forget that the costumes bring the food to their tables every day. Sorry for them.
All subcontractor that he used like Robinson Aluminum, Electrician, Pool Work, etc... are not included in this nasty review... They are great people, they are very professionals and know how to treat and make happy costumers.

We love our Griffin Pool! They were so helpful designing our pool. We made a lot of changes before we got it just right. They were very patient with us. The kids love swimming in the pool and we had our first birthday pool party. So fun! We would definitely recommend them to everyone.
