I had a bathroom remodeled in 2008 by Geist Remodeling. I am selling the house now and the inspector noted by photos the poor hack job, cutting through the 2X8 supporting joists in the crawl space. I now have carpenters here now trying to fix with supporting joists so the house will pass inspection. I would suggest having an independent inspector to inspect any remodeling work completed before you sign off on the job.
