We hired Mr. Brooks to paint our home. His unprofessional and unreasonable behavior that I have never seen in my over 30 years in construction caused me to ask him to leave mid-job. I would never recommend him. Aside from that, the painting that he did do was marginal quality and a lot of it had to be redone.

SPECTACULAR is the only word to describe George Brooks and his team of painters. They deserve more than 5 starts! We were referred to him by an architect who generally works on multi-million dollar projects, so from the get-go, we had expectations that these would be talented painters. They lived up to the talent expectation, but the price was really reasonable.
They showed up at the appointed hour (we had been warned of Santa Cruz time, but these gentlemen are on Silicon Valley time). The job actually took 1 day less than anticipated. The attention to detail was far, far above what we expected.
Example: All of the baseboards in this house are stained wood. There were places where with warping, there was a gap between them and the wallboard. Without any fanfare, they just automatically caulked around the entire house, closing all of those gaps. I “caught” one of the painters caulking over the top of a kitchen cabinet. He explained that on the ladder, he found a gap that he was fixing. We would never have known if I hadn’t walked in on him.
When they left, everything was spotless and cleaned. They swept the entire house’s wooden floors – leaving it in a little better shape than they found it. Since we anticipate many grandchildren visiting the home, George applied clear plastic guards on the corners where the walls meet.
There were small holes in the walls left behind by the previous owners. All of them are patched so well, it’s impossible to tell exactly where they were.
The men were courteous, efficient, tidy, cheerful. If you need painters and are able to get into the queue with George and his team, you will be very, very lucky and very, very happy!!

George did a fantastic job on my bathroom remodel. He has done numerous jobs for me in the past and I highly recommend him for any job, large or small.
