Built a new 9,000 Square Foot Home
    $1,745,000

I have to say, after reading a couple of negative reviews about George Carpozi, I was completely baffled. My experience with him was nothing short of outstanding, and I honestly can’t imagine working with a better builder. From the very beginning, George stood out as someone who is knowledgeable, meticulous, and deeply passionate about his craft. My wife and I were embarking on the biggest project of our lives—building our 9,000+ square foot dream home—and we spoke to multiple contractors before making a decision.

The quotes we received were all incredibly high, except for George’s, which came in over $1,000,000 less than the next lowest bid. Naturally, we were skeptical at first—how could someone offer so much more for so much less? But after meeting with George, seeing his past work, and hearing his no-nonsense, transparent approach, we knew we had found the right person. Not only did he include more features and upgrades than anyone else, but he also brought a level of expertise, efficiency, and creativity that made the process smoother than we ever imagined.

Now, I will say that George has his own way of doing things. He runs a tight ship and is very structured in how he manages his projects. His one big rule? He doesn’t allow clients to interact with or distract his workers. He explained that he’s had bad experiences in the past with clients chatting up workers, causing miscommunication, and ultimately slowing down progress. At first, we weren’t sure how we felt about that, but honestly, it never became an issue. George made it very easy for us to check on the project—he simply asked for 24 hours' notice if we wanted to visit, and we were free to come as often as we liked. Every time we stopped by, we were beyond impressed with the craftsmanship and efficiency of his team.

What really amazed us, though, was George’s generosity and commitment to quality. We made nearly a dozen changes throughout the project, some of them fairly major. Not once did he charge us extra—he covered the costs himself! That kind of dedication to customer satisfaction is rare in this industry.

The level of craftsmanship in our home is unbelievable. The moldings were handcrafted by George and his trim team, and even when we made elaborate requests, he never hit us with outrageous surcharges. His response was always the same: "For us, this is quite easy."

But George’s skills go far beyond just home building. He also built our custom freeform pool, working with a pool engineer from Hauppauge to create a design that was both stunning and cost-effective. Between the pool, the patio, and the outdoor kitchen, he saved us another $50,000—and the end result was absolutely breathtaking.

At the end of the day, George exceeded every single one of our expectations. If anyone is curious about his work, we’d be thrilled to give a tour of our home. It’s truly a masterpiece, and we owe it all to him.

Reading negative reviews about him honestly felt like stepping into the Twilight Zone. We had such an incredible experience, and I can say with absolute confidence that if you’re looking for a builder who is honest, skilled, and truly invested in his clients’ happiness, George Carpozi is the best choice you can make.

    basement waterproofing
    $10

If I could leave zero stars, it would be more appropriate. I completely agree 100% with review left by Katie K. Her review was succinct and sums up George perfectly. DO NOT hire this man, he talks a good game, but doesn't deliver on anything he says. His so-called lifetime, transferable warranty is meaningless. He lies to your face, doesn't show up when he says he will, doesn't communicate, and just leaves you hanging. He hasn't even completed the work he was hired, AND paid in full to do. If you show him any opposition or dissatisfaction, he takes it as an affront. He does sloppy work, leaves a mess, doesn't use drop cloths to protect your walls from splatters, or cover pipes. He has no respect for you, as the client, or your property. This scam artist, hasn't even had the decency to remove the garbage he created. Bags of his garbage are still in my back yard. If he does show up to do some perfunctory task, it's at the end of the day when he's finished with other clients. He says there's no room in his truck to take the garbage. He hasn't responded to my latest text messages, so now he's ghosting me. Stay as far away from this man as is possible, and do not use him, no matter how well you may think he presents himself, because it's all an act. WE still have water coming in one corner of the basement, that he's been made aware on three separate times, due to three separate storms. All he did was slap on some more hydraulic cement, when that clearly isn't the solution. The problem, is coming from above, and George doesn't want to be responsible for fixing it, because he draws lines in the sand as to what he will fix to stop water infiltration. However, he's told us he would do, this, that, and the other OUTSIDE of the house to rectify it, but never actually did anything other than to slap on more cement on the INSIDE. All he wants to do is have a garden hose running water outside to see what's going on inside while it's running. The weather, the rain coming down from the skies, on three separate storms, is a good enough indication that there's still water infiltration. What does he need to see in order to be convinced that there is still a problem!!, These are just avoidance tactics on his part. At all costs, stay away from this man. There are plenty of people out there to hire, who take pride in their work, who's credibility and integrity are intact, where your satisfaction as the client is paramount, and George doesn't check any of those boxes.

    Renovate our house
    $80,000

PSA: Do NOT use this man if you are interested in any home renovations or any work for that matter. He is a scam artist. He does not show up to work, lies about being at the job site, is a red raging hot head and takes months to finish the most simplistic tasks. We are out thousands of dollars and he has the audacity to ask for more money when the house is 30 percent done and he still asks for more money when nothing is complete.
