As Vince N. mentioned STAY AWAY! Horrible tile contractor and dishonest too. We had him install large format Italian tiles in the kitchen, family room, and bathroom. They did the demo told us our floors were in good condition. After the install, we saw lippage throughout the areas and he blamed it on our floors, then he blamed it on our tiles. They also installed chipped tiles!!! What kind of professional installs chipped tiles and leaves it hoping the homeowner doesn't notice? The grout work was substandard and way below the tiles. All the dirt is trapped between our tiles and it's impossible to get the dirt out without a high power vacuum. In addition, they did a bait and switch ... We were charged extra for epoxy grout and they installed regular sanded grout. And to top it off, he didn't clean the tiles after the install, we have haze leftover from the grout & thinset that is impossible to remove! Horrible company, bad workmanship and dishonest!!! The state contractors board is looking into this issue and their tile specialist confined our claim that all the tile work that George and his employees did was substandard. We are now in the process of tearing out all the tiles he installed and redoing it. A total nightmare!

    2 room tile job

This vendor was a problem from day 1. Even though I told him that the tile manufacturer sold clipped tiles, he bought unclipped tiles, which meant he had to cut the corners on over 600 tiles, with the dust going all over my yard and pool. Over the course of a job that took over a month for two small rooms, Mr. Michalany requested 6 checks due to lack of funds for materials. His work was shoddy at best. The kitchen floor was uneven and the tiles were placed haphazardly, resulting in him having to tear out part of the floor and re-lay the tile. He splashed thinset against our cabinets and never cleaned it off. He poured excess thinset in my garden planters. In the downstairs great room, he did not prepare the concrete floor properly, resulting in loose tile after only a month. The finish on the tiles looks terrible, with bubbles and inconsistency throughout. Another tile vendor estimates that it will cost $2,000 to fix the loose tiles and $2,500 to etch and re-finish the tiles so that they look decent. Adding insult to injury, when we asked for meetings to discuss there work, he was consistently late, which seemed purposeful.

If you want a real headache, hire George.
