Not an HVAC contractor, hardly a geothermal contractor.
Refused to accommodate existing HVAC system with a geothermal system; insisted on removing and installing all brand new. This was a terrible idea as I had recently installed the traditional HVAC system less than 5 years ago, and it worked fine.
On top of wanting to scrap all of my existing HVAC systems, the manager then pushed foam insulation and how I needed to spend money on improving my "envelope."
I did some research on this outfit, and there is not much out there.
I did not see any mechanical license registrations for my county, or my surrounding counties. This concerned me.
I also was taken aback as to what brand of geothermal they represent; DX or direct exchange. There are not many positive reviews of this type of geothermal, and very few manufacturers.
I decided to select another HVAC/GEO contractor for my project, one who was willing to listen to my ideas and work within my budget. Systems works as it was intended, and I only need the traditional HVAC system during very cold spells.
