    Finish basement

    We were originally very happy when we met with this company and chose them, after getting several other bids. We felt that they were eager and excited to begin our basement finishing. We were happy with the timeline and work at first, but noticed over time there were small details missing from the contract and found it hard to get straight answers to our questions. We had trouble with communicating effectively and multiple misunderstandings, having to initiate face-to-face meetings to discuss and clarify. This occurred with both project managers, as well as the finance and office team. We had a walk through and met again after we'd been told issues were addressed, but most of the items on our list had not been touched, corrected, or made right. We did another walk through, with the same result. We then received several condescending sounding emails from the financial department, saying that the work had been completed, when in fact it had not, as well as slow/delayed responses when we found discrepancies on the billing invoice. According to the company, the project is now complete, but we have been left with the mess of a construction site, poorly installed flooring, a stain on the floor from a spill of an unknown substance, uneven and bulging tile in the shower, crookedly cut and ill-fitting doors, and broken/smashed closet doors that they tried to fix with some disintegrating putty and paint. We feel like they continually ignored the above issues, until we eventually gave up in defeat. They eventually responded that they were done and would not correct the above. We have gone from excitement that we were financially finally able to finish our basement, to frustration, feeling ignored and then finally to disappointment and resignation. We don't typically give reviews but wanted any other homeowners looking to hire them to be aware and cautious.
