Ken Gilbert did not complete his installation for a very important client of mine.
His salesmanship was adequate; he got my business because of his use of the Hide-a-hose system. But his execution was very very poor.
Getting him to do the rough installation (pipes and system) was incredibly troublesome, but not anywhere as difficult as coordinating his install of the trim pieces and the actual machinery. He had excuse after excuse why he could not come to the house to finish his work: family emergencies, emergencies at other clients homes, gas leaks...the list goes on.
At one point, I asked him where the hose attachments were, and he said that he didn't know that I wanted any, so he would have to order them.
His final trim install was to have happened in February. It is now July and he still has not fixed a non-working port. He has been ignoring my calls and the calls of my office.
I am going to have to find another company that works with central vac systems and pay them to finish his installation.
I gave him a one star rating only because there are no lower ratings possible.
According to the Hide-a-hose website, there is are other vendors in the central Texas area. They can't be as bad as Ken Gilbert.
