By Barbara W.December 4, 2022Exterior Door and Storm Door - contracted thru Lowe'sRead more
I purchased an exterior door and storm door from Lowe's at the South Arlington, Texas store in August 2022. The doors were installed through Install Partners who are contractors for Lowe's in Arlington. The storm door handle and hinges were ordered to be placed on the wrong side. The Lowe's associate just assumed that the door installation would be a standard one (exterior door and storm door handles should be on the same side) and didn't mention anything to me about the handle side or hinges of the door. However, since my outside wall is less that 2 inches from the edge of the storm door the handle should have been placed on the opposite side according to door specialists, according to my situation. My house meets the exception to the standard rule when installing storm doors. If they were professional door installers, they would have known to mention my special circumstance when we met to discuss my order since the Lowe's associate pulled up a picture of my house on the internet showing that the handle was on the right side of the old screen door not the left. My house meets the exception to the rule. The handles should have been put in on the opposite side and Lowe's is refusing to correct the error by telling me it's my fault that the handles are on the wrong side. They are refusing to correct the problem and told me that I have to purchase another new door if I want it installed correctly. Install Partners is refusing to correct the problem and Lowe's is standing by them. I will never make a purchase from Lowe's where I have to have something installed through their installation partners. Beware, Lowe's does not care about their customers, and you can tell by all the complaints they have.

I ordered two doors from Lowes in May 2022 during the Memorial Day sale. The salesperson told me that someone would get ahold of me to measure and install the doors. I received a text message to approve a scheduled date for June 18th for measuring, and I understood to install the doors they would have with them. I work the second shift and the scheduled window time was 5:30 pm to 7:30 pm. No one called to cancel, and no one ever showed up. I tried reaching out to the contact number from the text; no answer. I reached out to Lowes, and they said they would contact the contractor. A week or so later, someone just appeared at my door ( didn't ring the doorbell or knock on the door) my husband opened the garage door, and some guy was standing at the door. My husband had to ask him who he was and what he wanted ( so unprofessional). The guy got the measurements for the doors, one outside the other one inside the house. I paid for the doors and waited a month later or so for a contractor to contact me. Finally, a text came to schedule for August 6th. I ok'd the time, again I took off work for the appt. I called all week to make sure someone would come. No return calls from the company, so I did the chat process, and they assured me someone would be here @ 2:30 pm. I waited, waited, and waited until 4:00 pm. The chat person said, "the tech said he had come by, and no one answered the door". I asked her what time did he come by? The reply was that they would have a scheduler contact me. Again, no one contacted me. I called Lowes, explained the situation, and I then asked for my money back. I will purchase my doors from somewhere else. No more doors from Lowes until they get a better installation service.

Contracted by Lowes. Will never buy from again. Installed a door and job was so bad another installer came out to fix and had to order another one. Going on 8 months now. Second job ordered windows, missing 2 of 14 and no one knows anything about when I can get the last windows installed. Been 6 months for that. Learned my lesson

Install partners uses nothing but contracted labor. The people they send to your house are rude, unprofessional and very sketchy looking. Apparently anyone with a truck can work for them. The 2 installers got into a shouting match in my living room. When I called customer service it turns out that even customer service reps are also contract labor with dogs barking and kids screaming in the back ground.
I will never spend a dime at Lowes because they use Install Partners.
Never use this company.

By Robert C.December 15, 2021Lowes sent them to install Larson door
NOT RECOMENED! Did poor job installing new Larson storm door. Paid Lowes to install new door and they had this place do the install. Gaps and door would not close because hitting door frame. Lowes sent someone out to inspect and they did not call or let me know they were here. I did hear someone come in my drive and I went to see if it was them. They were backing out of my drive way. They could not inspect the work without coming inside and looking at gaps. The door handle catch I had to remove after the install so door would close. The door even slams closed now. They did very bad job.

By Steve W.August 30, 2021Install attic ladder
HORRIBLE Customer Service. Never showed up or called for schedule install of attic stairs in April so I canceled my order. Finally received a call about install & was told my ladder never came in so Lowe’s should have called me. I went back to Lowe’s 3 months later and decided I would give it one more try. This time I bought attic stairs that were in stock & took them home. Install calls today and says he had to cancel install because Lowe’s did have my stairs and it would be few weeks. I informed him that I had the stairs in my garage & he changed his story that his family was sick & he would have to reschedule. I called the main office and they were less helpful. DO NOT USE INSTALL PARTNERS

They did a horrible job. All they had to do was install 2 security screen doors. The first was fine but the 2nd screen door was a complete hack job. When the trim they installed didn't fit, they tried cutting it with a circular saw in place instead of taking it down & making a clean cut. When they did that they cut chunks out of the door jamb. Trying to get in touch with them to fix it has been a nightmare. They were supposed to come back last Friday, instead they were a no call no show. Do not hire this company to do any work for you. I'd like to submit photos but I do t think you can....

Install Partners Llc were very professional and timely with my project. The office called in a timely manner to schedule, installer arrived in his time window, and did a great professional job, even picked up a different style of trim for me that Lowe's didn't have in stock! Very happy with my new door.

I would not recommend using Nick Simmons , which is now Install Partners LLC due to their work. They take too long to complete one job and do not follow up with either the customer or the store. It shouldn't take three months to do 6 windows in one home. It is a long process and very difficult to get in contact with someone for an update on the job. The Lowe's associates helping me ( Mary ) was very helpful and apologetic for the mess ups of Install Partners LCC. I will not get another install from Install Partners LLC but will be going to Lowe's to shop again.

By VictoriaAugust 8, 2016front door$2001 day
I live in Dallas and hired Install Partners to install my front door. The contractor that came out came within the promised arrival window (which, surprisingly, is only a 2-hour window--opposed to the sometimes 6 hours you have to set aside for cable or a/c repair) and was quick, polite, efficient and knowledgeable. He went the extra mile to keep me apprised every step of the way as to what he was doing and any issues that came up--even going above and beyond to fix issues that were not outlined as part of the install. I will definitely use Install Partners again to get my windows done, now that I know they do those as well.

I wanted to purchase replacement bifold doors for one of our closest so I visited my local Lowes in Burleson. The service at Lowes was helpful and they assisted me in finding the bifold doors I desired. I was then provided paper work noting a charge of $35.00 that would be applied to the purchase and a 48 hr time frame in which the installment company would contact me to arrange an appointment to take measurements. I had no problem in paying the $35.00 up-front or waiting 48 hrs to communicate with someone from the installment company. So, I did my part and left Lowes. 45 hours later I began to worry that I may not get my call so I called to confirm that I was on their 48 hr call schedule and was adamantly informed that I would indeed be called prior to the end of the business day. Lie #1, No call. At 9:37 the following morning I called again. I was informed that the lady that does the scheduling was out the previous day and would be calling me prior to 12:00. Lie #2, No Call. I called again at 12:56 and again was told I would be called back. Lie #3. I decided to return to the helpful people at Lowes. I communicated with Tammy, an assistant manager at Lowes. Thankfully, Lowes assisted me in communicating with the manager at Install Partners that also happens to be the scheduler. I expressed how important it is to have more than one person be able to schedule appointments if she is out. I expressed how important it is to have people tell the truth when they work for your company and asked her to relay my experience to her employer. I reminded her of the noted 48 hr time frame on the paperwork from Lowes. She (Hailey) was acknowledged my concerns and scheduled someone to come out to measure the same evening. I almost celebrated when he arrived. I had already removed my old closet doors so Install Partners wouldn't even have to work around doors. Simply hold both ends of the tape measure and stretch to 60". Take photos, work it up and fax it back to Lowes. I asked the man from Install Partners how long it would take for Lowes to get the measurement of 60" and he told me they would have it the following day. Lie #4 I have called Lowes twice today to check on it. Install Partners is now closed for the day (although I left a message anyway) and Lowes has still had nothing faxed from them.
I have no idea what to expect tomorrow, how could anyone know what to expect from Install Partners?

Initial Installer didn't even have a leveler, very unprofessional and rude. Supervisor came to inspect now this is a 2nd appointment and said he'll send an installer back. I waited a month and no installer came to my house or no phone call. This appointment has been confirmed in many ways. When I called the supervisor he said to me oh well. This is totally unacceptable, unprofessional.lowes stop working with this company. I've reported issues from the beginning to lowes installation hoping for a speedy resolution and compensation. This company needs to go out of business. Last year when I was going to purchase this same door the installer never got out his truck for measurements, my camera captured it all. It turns out the installer of the storm door was the same guy and didn't have a leveler so here we are waiting on this company to get it right. You have a scheduled appointment be professional and keep to it. Never will I purchase anything from lowes as long as they contract this company.
